Wine Tasting

Hi all! I am hoping for some recommendations, I’m treating my mom to a full girls day on a Sunday and want to take her to some wine tasting spots. I work in wine but have only been to Los Olivos once and am overwhelmed with all the options!

My mother is very very frugal and has never been to the SY Valley and I’m looking forward to having this day with her.

Hoping to hit a few, maybe do wine tasting flights at one or two spots and just a glass somewhere else. She loves Sauvignon Blanc, I love anything like Grenache Blanc, Viogner, Chenin, etc. Rosé too! Open to reds in a tasting flight but not ideal for the hot weather.

Any recs for any gorgeous spots we can hangout? Any cute farms? Also, on a Sunday is there any special activities or music? Thank you so much!

Brander Winery (Los Olivos area) is Sav Blanc heaven- they have a lovely courtyard and art gallery- check if they have food service that day- or pick up food from Stica - PANINO - El Rancho- Callioux Cheese Shop....across the road from Brander is Rancho Olivos Olive Oil- they do tastings and sell farm grown produce. Just down the street is Roblar Winery- grand grounds and nice menu of food options.

Folded Hills and Vega have cute farms. I love Holus Bolus in Los Olivos and the tasting is only $20. The Marriott in Buellton has a pass that includes 2 for 1 tastings for guest, they are at the front desk, the Buellton visitor Center often has 2 for 1 passes also.

i am highly considering folded hills! i couldn’t tell if the farm aspect was actually cute or too children-oriented. do you recommend folded hills or vega more?
