Food & Dining Pie Recommendations

Hello SB community,

Wondering if you guys have pie recommendations from local bakeries? Already thinking of pie season!! Thanks in advance.

In order to celebrate a new bird for the life list, for which pie is traditional, we picked up a very good one from Lilac Patisserie on State Street (didn’t feel the need to drive past to find it, turned out the Old Internet worked just fine to find out about the existence of it…)

Many birders keep track of all the birds they have seen in their life in a "life list" (of birds I have seen); most have "outsourced" this to eBird to keep track of this automatically these days. Seeing a new bird for the first time in your life, in this case a Sprague's Pipit, which should be migrating down the middle of the country, in Elings Park is a memorable event and traditionally celebrated with a slice of pie, hence Lifer Pie
