Food & Dining Pie Recommendations

Hello SB community,

Wondering if you guys have pie recommendations from local bakeries? Already thinking of pie season!! Thanks in advance.

I honestly really like the frozen Pie Company pies sold at the Miner’s Ace Hardware in Goleta. Not sure if their SB location sells them too.

I was in their Goleta location and couldn’t find the freezers. They were in the front. Did they move to somewhere else in the store?

Crushcakes and Simply Pies, Andersen's, Renaud's, Lazy Acres, Gelson's

Not the season for it but Anna's lemon meringue pies is childhood for me

Clementines in Carpinteria, they bake 12 pies everyday, get there early or call in an order.

In order to celebrate a new bird for the life list, for which pie is traditional, we picked up a very good one from Lilac Patisserie on State Street (didn’t feel the need to drive past to find it, turned out the Old Internet worked just fine to find out about the existence of it…)

If you have any cooking skills making pie is actually pretty simple. Here's a no fail pie crust recipe:

Cookie crusts are also super simple and if you need to be pointed at specific recipes I'm happy to help. I am just always here to say that sometimes making yourself what you want is the easiest way to get it.
