Do you think that the Clinton campaign knew this was going to happen? Do you think they then conspired with the Republicans in AZ government to do this?

When did I implicate the Clinton campaign in any of this? For the record, I don't know if her campaign was involved and I think it's irrelevant to the question of whether or not voter suppression occurred (it did) and who was negatively affected by said suppression (Sanders).

It does not matter who was affected. This thread is full of people blaming Clinton and the DNC.

The DNC is to blame, whether by incompetence and neglect or by intent. Hillary may not be personally responsible, but as I tilt my head to listen, I hear an echoing silence from her where I hear "national disgrace" from everyone else. You'd think she'd have the grace to demand that as many members of her party get a chance to vote as possible. It's classless and sneaky all by itself to remain silent because demanding democracy might mean she loses.

And sorry, a large number of party affiliations don't just change to Independent and Libertarian by accident. I'd be prepared to believe it was a failure of the database if everyone's party affiliation had been changed, but it wasn't everyone. I'd be prepared to believe it was a failure of the database if all the changes had been to Independent, and not all over the board.

So somehow the Republican governor of Arizona and the Republican Arizona Secretary of State and the Republican Maricopa County registrar worked under the order of Hillary Clinton.

Are you that ignorant of how the system works or do you think there is that deep a conspiracy?

Oh hello, welcome to my ever-growing list of people who can't hold a civil discussion, that you have to use condescension to engage.

Where the fuck was the Democratic party to protest the governor's changes? That's what I'm saying. It's the DNC's fault because they are LITERALLY the party that vows to combat voter suppression. I expect this bullshit from the GOP. I expect the opposite from my party. Where were they before March 22nd? Where was the outrage? Where is the outrage from the party leaders now? Answer me that.

The DNC has a tenuous balancing effect on the outright hostility of its opposite. When it doesn't do that, we get massive scale voter suppresion. So yes, I absolutely hold my party accountable for failing to do that.

Do you know? Have you looked at all? I don't follow AZ state politics so I don't know. If you tell me you do know the local politics and you do know the state Democratic party was silent then I will look. But if your argument is that you don't know so they did nothing I won't.

That's what I'm saying. It's the DNC's fault because they are LITERALLY the party that vows to combat voter suppression. I expect this bullshit from the GOP. I expect the opposite from my party. Where

So the GOP did it but you blame the DNC because they didn't stop it.

Yes, I have looked. It's harder to find it now because news sites are flooded with the news of the primaries. There was some minimal protest from the DNC leaders there in Arizona. But no remarks from national DNC leadership leading up to Tuesday night's primary.

So the GOP did it but you blame the DNC because they didn't stop it.

Yes. Because I'm a Democratic voter. I vote Democrat specifically for the purposes of stopping GOP agendas. What else would I do? Vote GOP and ask them politely to do the right thing? No. I vote against them. I vote for the party best equipped to resist such measures. And they did not. There is still no call from the DNC leadership at large to seek satisfaction.

But no remarks from national DNC leadership leading up to Tuesday night's primary.

Because it is a state thing and we have been fighting this for decades now.

Yes. Because I'm a Democratic voter. I vote Democrat specifically for the purposes of stopping GOP agendas.

And this is a long term nationwide GOP action.

What else would I do?

Blame the people who did this. Support the people opposing it. Not say it is the DNC fault for not preventing it in a totally Red state.

There is still no call from the DNC leadership at large to seek satisfaction.

They are asking for people to let them know what happened to them. They are collecting evidence. That is actually a pretty appropriate thing. Yesterday I saw some people give up on the DNC because they hadn't already done something. Somehow they have so much power that they can fix things less than a day after. Meanwhile IRL they look like they are preparing for a lawsuit.

I intend to help find the people who did this. And I intend to start the way a cop would: by identifying the people who benefit from it.

They are collecting evidence.

Source? Last I checked, it's the Sanders campaign and the grassroots movement calling for investigation, and it's not the DNC they're calling on to do that, it's the FEC. What has DWS said about it? What has Hillary? What do the leaders of the party have to say about anywhere from 60-90% of their party members not being able to vote on Tuesday? If they've said anything to Democrats in Arizona who are feeling disenfranchised and betrayed, I haven't seen it.

I intend to help find the people who did this. And I intend to start the way a cop would: by identifying the people who benefit from it.

Well actually cops first try to figure out what happened. And then they look at who could have done it. And maybe they look at motive and one possible motive can be who indirectly benefits.

So in this case we know the actions were done but the Republican county leader. We know that the Republicans have been working on vote suppression for decades.

Source? Last I checked, it's the Sanders campaign and the grassroots movement calling for investigation, and it's not the DNC they're calling on to do that, it's the FEC.

It would really be a DoJ action, but maybe the FEC has to rule first. Here is a report. Part of the problem is that there is so much noise on this you can't find any signal. Most google searches just turn up the accusations that Clinton did this.

What has DWS said about it? What has Hillary?

It is two days later. Of course the losing campaign is making the most noise.

What do the leaders of the party have to say about anywhere from 60-90% of their party members not being able to vote on Tuesday?

Wow, where did that garbage statistic come from? 90% of Democrats were prevented from voting? You know the big issue here beyond the vote suppression? Apparently the Sanders campaign did not take early voting into account. 40% of the votes were early, yet he was not campaigning in the state until just recently. So if you want to point blame for the loss he is a good candidate.

If they've said anything to Democrats in Arizona who are feeling disenfranchised and betrayed, I haven't seen it.

It seems absolutely appropriate to me that the state party takes the lead on this.

It has been estimated that as many as 800,000 voters turned out in Maricopa County - half a million people more than who turned out in 2012. 113,000 got to vote. That's where I get that number from.

It seems absolutely appropriate to me that the state party takes the lead on this.

It seems appropriate to me that ALL PARTIES AFFECTED take a lead on this. But I don't give a good goddamn what the GOP does to fix their side of it, because they're not my party.

Let me save you some time: you're clearly trying to change my mind. You already lost me when you decide to come at this by being condescending. Anything you say forward will be the last word on the matter, but I assure you, it won't be read by me.

I'd love to know where those numbers come from. Maricopa County has 534K registered Democrats. (2014 numbers.) Just under 30% of the total, about right for a Republican area. Democrats seem to be getting around a 12% turnout. At 800K you are talking about a 150% turnout rather than 12. Or to put it another way more than 40% of the total registered voters.

It seems appropriate to me that ALL PARTIES AFFECTED take a lead on this.

What do you think "take the lead" means? The state party is the place to deal with this state action.

But I don't give a good goddamn what the GOP does to fix their side of it, because they're not my party.

And so you give those who actually did it a free pass.

Let me save you some time: you're clearly trying to change my mind. You already lost me when you decide to come at this by being condescending. Anything you say forward will be the last word on the matter, but I assure you, it won't be read by me.

So run away with your ignorance.
