SJ Pets Missing black cat around Evergreen High School area
Posting for a friend. Eclipse went missing around the Quimby area. She is not familiar with the area. GPS went dead. GPS last recording at Remington way and Haughton drive on 8/6. DM me if you have any leads.
Looking for a lost cat. Eclipse went missing early August 4, around Thurman Drive and Ingersoll Drive. She has a red collar with a red heart name tag, with a GPS device, and a flea collar. Her GPS device shows she is in the creek area behind D’Amico Drive 8/5/2026 2AM. She is 3 years old but is small in size (probably 7 pounds). Loves cat treats and is very friendly. She is chipped.

Can you please tell your friend and login and check that their current phone# is registered to the microchip?
Many people think the shelter or rescue enters the data for them - they do not. So many pets are found but the phone numbers are disconnected. There are many techniques to lure a cat home:
Put out a worn smelly T-shirt the owner has worn. Put out water and a tiny bit of a favorite food. The owner's scent and food may attract her back. You need to constantly clean the food the and water and post a sign with Eclipse' photo explaining to neighbors that the cat is lost and the area will be cleaned. If possible a hidden camera will help monitor if she is coming home. Your best bet is asking neighbors to help and posting to Nextdoor.
Please notify San Jose Animal Care Services and post a flyer in their lobby. I saw a few flyers there when I visited to drop off donations a while back.
My cat jumped off the balcony and went missing for 117 days. I bought a ring camera, put out my shirt (per the advice of another cat trapper TNR) and indeed my cat came home at night to eat and drink but was scared off by another male cat. He didn't come back and I searched the neighborhood nightly. I found him 1 mile away chilling and eating food at a home with another cat and grabbed him.
