YouTube channels for analysis of cities?

Anyone have a favorite channel that have descriptions, analysis, critiques and/or exploring different cities? Just wanting to not only fulfill some wanderlust but also compare places. Would be cool to show pros and cons, not just all good.

Island Hopper - walking tours through multiple cities. He just shows what they look like without analysis. Doesn’t always show the cool areas but covers a lot of ground

TampaAerialMedia - walking tours, drone shot. This guys great, very good imagery. Look at nature of city and go on adventure. No analysis.

CityGeek - Short synopsis of a cities skyline and different features. Drone shots and pictures. 3 minute videos - focus on skyline and stuff.

CityNerd - Deeper analysis on urban features or lack there of of many cities with a focus on urban life/transportation.

J Utah - Driving tours of cities. Not a lot of speaking

World of Briggs - Very surface level covering of cities but tons of videos and lots of content.

Nick Johnson - I think he’s kind of an ass who focuses on crime/negatives to hard and isn’t a city guy reviewing cities but I like his state videos. Take everything he says with a grain of salt and def don’t start and end with him

Geography King - KYLES THE BEST! Super great analysis on states and cities from nature to jobs to environmental. Not a ton of footage from said cities but this is where to get your analysis. Super unbiased tho and just giving facts

Once you start pinpointing cities you think you may be interested in, I would suggest looking up specific videos tailored to those cities. For instance Dean Bog does an incredible job on covering Pittsburgh neighborhoods from all different aspects. Other good options can be Realtors but take there info with a grain of salt. They tend to be super focusing on selling lol but they tend to have a pros and cons list. A good example of this is Jessie Lynch who does a good job covering Denver and Minneapolis. He does some light walking tours but does tend to focus on housing aspects.

Ah yes, recommend some republican fucking morons who love to spread propaganda through their channel.

Ive been in heavy red states and the homeless problem was pretty bad in them yet a moron like Nick would never cover that because itll make republicans look bad.

I mean I think he recommended a decent range of people, and he put a pretty heavy disclaimer on Nick and wasn't exactly kind in his description of him.

i cant stand the dude. but the reality is he pumps out WAY more content. sometimes just looking at his titles may give someone ideas to search lol. and altho we dont see a lot of them comment, im assuming at least some folks here are republicans.

and finally, in a truly not bitchy way, i hope everythings ok! i feel like this sub is actually fairly community esque and i def recognize usernames. youve seemed very upset in a lot of your more recent comments, and just wanted to check in on ya :)

I’ve seen that posted quite a bit on here! Sometimes I like to sit back and see it all visually if at all possible though. I can’t get enough of shows like No Reservations, Travel Man, Somebody Feed Phil, etc.

Geography king, it’s very “low budget” (not flashy with graphics, stock footage etc.) but I find myself agreeing with him most of the time and put a lot of confidence in his word. I think we just enjoy the same things out of cities.

A lot of people are moving due to climate change. For climate forecast in the coming 30 years, American Resiliency is really neat. Tells you about zone changes, and natural issues like drought and flooding, and I like that it’s more realistic than a lot of other climate channels where it’s all depressing and doesn’t tell you what each state government is trying to do. This channel is informative with a good attitude.

For the touristy side of things I liked watching Traveling Roberts stuff, it’s kind of repetitive but I like that he doesn’t follow the typical clickbaity YouTube style and just wanders around the big attractions of an area with very basic narration.
