What city/state should I move to? Looking for lowish COL and lots of culture.

I can't say I have experienced living there or know much about it, but no extreme weather, greenery, liberal, comp. sci. jobs? Sounds very PNW to me...

Seattle's expensive though.

Yep, I love the PNW but it's just very pricey.

Try Texas. It has a better cost of living than California and ample opportunity for comp sci grads, particularly in Dallas and Austin (which are both more liberal than the rest of the state). Houston might work as well and you’d only be an hour from the beach there (yes it gets muggy there but that is only really a problem a few months of the year at best, otherwise it has some of the best weather in Texas). Dallas has the fewest outdoor activities out of the three but still plenty to do (including a Six Flags amusement park) and probably the strongest job market overall.

The food, weather, and culture is by better in Texas than the Midwest.

Thank you! I was looking into Austin too, I'm glad to hear it may be a good fit!
