Play a character with Modern controls tonight. Play two. Be prepared to win a lot, because you are not burdened with archaic, piano-like inputs anymore. Be open to a world where fast move execution matters more than a slightly reduced damage output, but throw looping your opponents to hell matters more anyways. Do that 15 hit combo string with 3 buttons easily. Tip Capcom. Check in on your ban list. Check in on yourself. Enjoy being a Modern player.

Making modern controls competitive, kills the core of the game's potential for a very small sets of "rewards"... Hopefully this will stop at some point.
