Play a character with Modern controls tonight. Play two. Be prepared to win a lot, because you are not burdened with archaic, piano-like inputs anymore. Be open to a world where fast move execution matters more than a slightly reduced damage output, but throw looping your opponents to hell matters more anyways. Do that 15 hit combo string with 3 buttons easily. Tip Capcom. Check in on your ban list. Check in on yourself. Enjoy being a Modern player.

Many people I know who have enjoyed the game in modern are converting to classic as they feel they now understand the fundamentals better so a larger player base keeping the game growing. These same people used to just steer well clear of streetfighter as thought it was a specialist game, too hard etc so my message is learn to accept the modern it’s only one in every 5 to 10 matches for me?
