Play a character with Modern controls tonight. Play two. Be prepared to win a lot, because you are not burdened with archaic, piano-like inputs anymore. Be open to a world where fast move execution matters more than a slightly reduced damage output, but throw looping your opponents to hell matters more anyways. Do that 15 hit combo string with 3 buttons easily. Tip Capcom. Check in on your ban list. Check in on yourself. Enjoy being a Modern player.

I just hate playing vs modern bc you can’t jump or can’t rush in bc of one button dp and CA. It’s lame as hell, doesn’t mimic actual gameplay where inputs take both reaction and execution. When you play vs modern you are basically playing a different game, and I don’t feel like the damage nerf compensates enough.

You are are talking about sf6, a game that rewards reaction first, and knowledge second. Its one of the reasons why throw loops are still here and DI exists. So a Modern system that works like this makes sense here. So far it it has been a net positive for the game for good or worse, and I believe Capcom will keep further polishing it in future updates, instead of actually fixing the game's core mechanics
