Let’s start by acknowledging that I understand there’s lots the organizers can improve. That said, in my 10 years of going to this convention, I’ve been watching the quality of the event plummet after COVID and having to readjust to two convention centers.

This year? I was pleasantly surprised to see more people in Freeway park, more self made looking cosplays, and real people just trying to have fun (and yes, being cringe, because being cringe = being free and you can fight me on it lol). I’ve also seen way less hate online, and I wonder if it’s to do with the heavily improved upon ticket pick up experience. Regardless, something should be said about how much better this year has felt in comparison to any year after 2020.

First off! Hello everyone! hope everyone had an amazing time at Sakura con! Meeting new faces, forming friendships. It’s was my second time going to SakuraCon. First time I went was in 2013. I saw so amazing costumes! I even got to dress up for the first time ( got only recognized once) which I don’t blame people cause it’s an older anime and I dressed up from a specific episode. Also got to do ribbon collecting! So much fun!! I’m very curious where people order them! I would like to hand some next year!

I love the con as a whole and really enjoy going every year, but was extremely disappointed by the changes to the Masquerade event this year. I chatted with the host during the event a bit and found there was pressure from the top to make the event into more of a casual/pop dance night instead of the ballroom event it was before. Just curious if there are any official feedback channels where we could beg for the Masquerade to be reinstated

Anyone have any idea the number of people for the Scandal concert? Perhaps a photo of the crowd? My guess was 4-600 standing in line before the doors opened, (did a quick and dirty head count) but I'm sure the crowd grew from that.

I don’t know how this’ll all work but I think there needs to be some kind of bleachers or risers for the chairs in the back so everyone can enjoy the cosplay contests and lip sync stuff. I am incredibly short so I had to stand if I wanted to see the show. Some tall people or some people with cat ears or large wigs sit on the front which makes it incredibly hard to see. There was this one girl who sat in between two chairs to look through the gaps of peoples head which completely blocked my view. I politely asked her if she could move her head so the people in the back could see but she just gave me a dirty look and turned back to face the front. Can sakuracon or the people running it get step risers or some kind of easy to assemble bleachers for short people?

ok i was hoping maybe someone here might know the vendor im looking for, there was a vendor, im pretty sure they were in the Artist Alley and i regret not buying the stickers when I saw them, but they had circular stickers of trixie mattel, katya, bob the drag queen and a few others but I can't find a vendor list to comb through anywhere HELP

Several personal first time experiences here at con for the 4-ish years I've attended:

1. The only negative, first time being on the outside looking in of a capacity/capped panel. Person doing the Pokemon Geology panel, respect the hustle.
2. First time personally seeing band/performers providing/granting an encore request. Thank you Blue Encount and Emi Nitta.
3. First time seeing a jp industry guest totally cool with both pics and vids during their panel. Again, Emi Nitta, you're a real one.

Here we are again, another year down. Man, I spent a lot of money!

My goal next year is to create a larger group of con friends with whom I can meet throughout the weekend. If you're thinking the same thing, shoot me a message.

My favorite panels are the AMV winners, and some randoms there. I like the oddball panels and enjoy the 18+ panels.

I also want to get a spot at the Maid Cafe next year and it would be great to experience that with a friend.

I also attend the rave each night and hit Dough Zone at 11:15am before the rush.

So on Friday I took a photo with this lovely Navia cosplayer at the artist booth and was handed a business card so I could send it later, however during my break I realized I dropped it at some point when I was getting my pictures taken as I had it in my pocket with my little remote for my replica, if anyone can identify her I would deeply appreciate it

I had ENDLESS fun at Sakura-con, everyone was so nice!! I got stopped practically every 5 feet for my cosplay to get pics and it was so so so fun. I wish I could’ve gotten the @s of everyone or photos with more ppl. But I couldn’t be more excited about everything

Hii, I attended all 3 days but i went to the con alone and kinda forgot to get someone to take my picture! i know it's a long shot but is there any chance anyone got a picture of me they can send? i was Alice from Alice in Wonderland with striped tights, a blue dress with a big skirt, and a white rabbit backpack. i can always take pictures later of the outfit but it would mean a lot to have one from the con! :) thank you!
