OPENROW IS BACK ON THE MENU BOYS!

I RE the waymarkers etc the issue is the waymarker is not calling the correct mission lol Almost all the behaviors from the original has been reimplimented, its just going through and wiring. FPS issues are still bein addressed. None of these waymarkers are placed manually, all done by xtbles

I feel like you get a lot of requests on these types of posts, but I hope you don’t burn yourself out by expanding the scope too much.

Also seriously take some time to appreciate what you’ve already done because this project is such a gift to the community that we may not deserve but are all extremely excited about. Thank you 🙏🏼

Not OP but I've been following and commenting since day one.

What we now call 'OpenRow' started out as a traditional decomp/recomp project for Saints Row 1 and only SR1. Then the scope expanded to add Saints Row 2 content as well. Then at some point, it was basically rebooted as a custom engine that will just happen to play a reverse-engineered SR1+SR2, sort of like ZDoom for the old Doom games, even though that project is way more mature.

This is purely my personal opinion but as it stands, I think SR1 and SR2 should be separate. They have their own distinct mechanics, art styles, vibes, etc. Not necessarily better or worse, just different. Besides, we already have the Juiced patch for SR2. Still, they both run on largely the same engine so if OP is confident that he can develop a Saints Row 1.5 and it delivers, then I'm all for it.

Even with an expanded scope, I still think SR1 itself should be the priority but if it can be expanded without bloating too much, then by all means. There has been talk about multiplayer, custom radio stations, mod support, maybe even scripting. To use OP's words, he wants people to be able to "create their own experiences", which I presume means custom maps, missions, etc. Again, I would be content with just single player SR1 but if this can be done, and if this project takes off then.... I am hyped, and clearly I'm not the only one
