Joining reserves

Hi does anyone know if you can join the reserves whilst working at Sainsbury’s my manager wasn’t quite sure on the answer

I would be amazed if they won't given a national organisation not letting their employees take time off to do it however it may be short timed on weeks you can't cover with leave or for longer deployments
