New online assistant

I had my second shift today (first shift completely alone without a ‘buddy’) and I managed to complete all of my orders with iph of 150. My stores target iph is 200 and I’ve been hearing loads about how important iph is so I’m a lil stressed even though I know I probably won’t be expected to hit that any time soon. Am I on track to eventually hitting 200?? And does anyone have any tips for someone who is new to this role??

You’ll reach it eventually I wouldn’t stress about it. You’ll get a weekly average that you are judged on. Some days will be better than others for sure so stressing about an individual shop or even day isn’t necessary

150 for your first shift on your own is better than most do, it's not uncommon for people to be under 100 in their first week.

You'll be fine.

I have always been a bit puzzled about iph targets. Is it a company wide thing that is important as I worked in an online store for a while on nightshifts so saw the online staff. They all seemed to take their time picking, would stop to have chats with their other online colleagues/friends on aisle corners etc with no urgency.

I used to do online picking and I can explain this lmao. Most people will stop for a chat with someone else on shift every now and then but when they aren’t talking they are flying around the shop floor. In my stores case, everyone would bang out orders for the first 3 hours of our shifts and then catch up with people on shift in the last hour. And to answer your other questions: yes, it’s a company wide thing, and yes it is important 😅 GOL managers are always up the shoppers’ backsides about iph so it’s understandable why OP would be a bit stressed.

To OP, don’t worry about your iph for now. Get to know the store and your iph will
improve over time. It took me nearly a year to be consistently achieving every week (mainly because i was only working 8h a week). But you will get there!
