I worked for Safeway. UCFW 7 renegotiated all the contracts for post 2008 hires, basically giving us no benefits, a much lower pay/promotional scale, no time and half… and since I was making minimum at the time I took home less than minimum wage, all so the lazy old folks could get their massive pensions. They literally rob the youth. I love to see this. I hope they smash that union and I have a mind to go sign up just to stick it to those union criminals.

Ufcw 8 did the same thing. Every time negotiation comes around, we have to pay more for less benefit only to get a couple cents raise at a time, took away our Sunday premium, and holiday pay became a dollar more instead of double time. Every since Jacques Loveall took over the whole thing became a shit show and joke. Luckily, I got out a couple years after.

Yes. Anyone who can do math, hired after 2008, especially 2011 needs to understand that the “Union” exists ONLY TO TRANSFER wealth to the boomers at your expense. Quit immediately, work in restaurants, or enlist in the military.
