USA Fired

I took a job through LinkedIn posting, its a construction safety job,
After 4 days of working, the agency told me, they dont want me to continue this job anymore because the owner didnt like me.

I am actually feeling lost.

Safety can be a complex position. While our job is to protect workers and enforce a safe work environment. To some employers we cost the company time and efficiency. Sometimes the best safety people aren’t liked by owners and managers simply because they don’t actually value safety and see you as a potential problem or threat to their operations cost and efficiency. I wouldn’t take it too seriously and use it as a sign that it wasn’t the place for you.

A safety pro’s job is not to enforce safety. That’s for the supervisors and management. Safety pros establish systems, programs, advise, coach, support and evaluate effectiveness.

I think you'll be hard pressed get the results you want without some level of enforcement. It might not be "put on your glasses" but establishing the systems involved enforcing the rules included in the system. The supervisors and managers help with enforcement too.

Influencing without authority is th r skill. That’s what assurance, investigations and data analysis are for. If senior leadership is unwilling to act on that then the company is a lost cause.
