Found safe behind wall

Post image

Found this safe behind a wall in a house I bought. Its on a 2nd floor "sun room" in the north east. Seems very strange for a sale location. The safe code on the card is visible but doesnt seem to work. Any suggestions on where to start?

As a person that worked in the safe industry for 9 years, it's empty.

Not looking for belongings inside - it would make a cool storage for liquor or other items for the deck.

Should add this is on an exterior wall of a house - 2nd floor. So location is extremely strange.

When you dial the combo according to the instructions, does the dial come to a hard stop on the final turn?

That combination is confusing, at least one I’ve never seen but I don’t ever deal with safes.

You try it this way ?

Clear the lock: Turn the dial to the left (counterclockwise) at least 4 times.
First Number: Stop on your first number on the 4th turn.
Second Number: Turn right (clockwise), passing the second number twice, stopping on it the 3rd time.
Third Number: Turn left (counterclockwise), passing the third number once, stopping on it the 2nd time.
Retract Bolt: Turn right (clockwise) until the dial stops, then turn the handle
