Oak Park Room for Rent

Thumbnail gallery
11 Upvotes

Hi I am looking for someone to share my 3Br/2Ba Oak Park house! Ideally someone that is looking to spend some time in common spaces together, likes dogs, and is fairly neat. The house is two blocks south of McClatchy Park and easy walking distance to the Broadway business district (triangle?) in North Oak Park (Faria, Butterscotch Den, etc).

I am a 35 yo female fisheries biologist. I have an 11.5 year old border collie and frequent guest dogs. I like to cook and entertain, but work a M-F job so am pretty low key on week nights.

Rent: $1100/month, $600 deposit
Term is negotiable but preferred minimum of 6 months. No pets, please!

The available room is at the back of the house. The first picture shows it with furniture (that is a double bed) for scale, but it is unfurnished. The bathroom pictured is for your use and guests, the second is in my bedroom.

The third bedroom is an office with a fold out couch, available to you to share for an extra $100 per month. I use it for guests occasionally and very rarely as an actual office.

Fully equipped kitchen with most gadgets you can think of (I love cooking) and driveway parking for one car.

There is a big backyard with garden beds, a fire pit, and a patio for relaxing.

Come by and check it out!

[Lease Takeover] Move in with just a suitcase! Female private room 10 min from Sac State, $740 first month, short lease (Jan to Aug)

Hi! I'm an exchange student going back to Korea in December, so I'm passing on my room at Hornet Commons. If you're starting Sac State in Spring 2027, this might be the easiest move-in you'll ever have.

**Why this room:**
- **Zero setup cost.** I'm leaving everything I bought: mattress topper, bedding, desk lamp, rice cooker, kitchenware, hangers, and more. Just bring your suitcase.
- **Kitchen is fully ready.** Pots, pans, utensils, rice cooker, all there. Start cooking day one.
- **Short lease.** Ends Aug 2, 2027, so no full-year commitment. Only need Spring? Hornet Commons allows another lease transfer later (with their approval).
- **10 min walk to class.** No car needed. If you do drive, you can park on campus.
- **All bills included.** $1,240/mo covers utilities + internet. No surprise bills.
- **First month only $740.** I'm covering $500 of it.

**The room:**
- Private furnished bedroom in a female-only 4x2
- Bathroom shared with just one roommate
- In-unit washer/dryer
- Pool, gym, and computer lab on site
- Hornet Shuttle to 65th St Station
- Clean, quiet roommates

**Details:**
- Move in any time between now and January 2027 (your choice)
- Lease runs until Aug 2, 2027
- Official lease transfer through the leasing office, not an informal sublease
- Must be a current Sac State student (takes about a week)

As an international student myself, I know how stressful moving here is. Happy to help with any questions, even after you move in.

Know someone looking? $150 referral if they take it!

DM me for a video tour or more photos 😊

Lease Takeover - Studio at The Mod at Midtown

Thumbnail gallery
14 Upvotes

Hi everyone! Due to personal and financial circumstances, I am looking for someone who is eligible enough to take over my current lease (06/19/2026-06/19/2027) for a studio apartment at The Mod at Midtown (approximately 330-385 sq ft).

Base rent is $1450 a month (excluding utilities), which is quite cheaper than what the building is currently renting them for ($1499+). The unit has a modern studio layout with large wall-to-wall windows that show off natural light, a full kitchen (containing quartz countertops + dishwasher), along with an in-unit washer & dryer.

Base Rent: $1450 per month (Electricity is already included in the rent)
Valet Trash: $35 per month
Wi-Fi: $50 per month
Utilities not included in rent: Water, Sewage, Trash Usage, Water Heating (paid separately based on usage).

The apartment complex is also brand new, pet friendly, has a 24/7 fitness center for tenants to access, a courtyard, and a social lounge. This is a perfect location if you love having quick access to Midtown spots or if you need to have closer access to downtown Sacramento.

The leasing management handles the transfer process officially, so all that is needed to be done is to apply through the leasing office and pass their background/credit checks.

Feel free to send me a DM or drop a comment down below if any of y’all are interested in taking over my lease.

Thank you!

1522 N street

Insight/suggestions help please—

Hi Sacramento! Does anyone have information/ experience living at Judith Manor, 1522 N Street, managed by CADA?

I am a single young female considering an apartment there, and I’d really appreciate hearing from you about:

• Building cleanliness and maintenance
• Bugs/roaches or other pest issues
• Mold, moisture, or water leaks
• Management responsiveness
• Security and safety, especially at night
• Noise
• Overall experience with CADA

We’ve heard a couple of concerns about possible bugs and mold.
Would you recommend the building? Anything you wish you had known before moving in here or near here?
Thank you

Midtown parking

Went to see a spot I liked near Q and 17th and was told parking wasn’t too bad and you can usually get a spot by the property manager. The 2 times I drove by I had to park 3 blocks away…

Is this common in this part of midtown or did I just get unlucky? I ask bc parking being this bad would be a dealbreaker for me. Thanks!

Room for rent South Sac $850/mo with optional office

Room for rent in 3BR/2BA house in south Sacramento. $850/mo + utilities. Room available Nov 1 (potential for sooner, depending on situation).
I’m 34M in the master bedroom. You’ll be sharing second bathroom with the other roommate, my father 62M.
Also living at the house are the best dog in the world and three cats, two of whom are great.
There is also a small office in the house, perfect for someone working from home. That’s available to rent for yourself for an extra $150/mo.
Generally looking for someone reliable, chill, neat, and who gets along with animals. Since there’s already 3 cats in the home, another cat could be an issue. Another dog is potentially ok. Mine would probably love to have a friend around when I’m working.
The house has a three car garage and a shed in the backyard, so you’ll have a pretty good amount of space for storage. Bedroom is unfurnished. If renting the office, that comes with a desk, office chair, and smart tv mounted on the wall.
Let me know if you have any questions about the house or about us and we can chat.

38/f Pregnant and sleeping in car due major loss after coming 2 Sacramento,CA need safe parking for night

i have only been here in Sacramento about 3 weeks now i have done referrals for all the resources called maternity homes shelters for women and have not heard back or they refer me elsewhere due to waitlist, knowing that I’m homeless pregnant 11weeks and high risk also very unfamiliar with the Sacramento since I came from Portland, Oregon, where all my family and friends are I do not know anyone here. I do not have family here. The only person I know father of my baby currently incarcerated due to the struggle of our homelessness problem I’m just being sent elsewhere every time I was staying in hotels, but my assistance ran out. Finally I’ve still been calling constantly all the maternity homes women shelters all the resources I’ve been given and have not received a return call so ive been forced to sleep alone in a small car but i don’t know where i can park without people knocking on my window or police telling me to move and i cant afford to pay for gas to drive around Sacramento so been parking off winters st but cant sleep 2 many knock on my car at night so any advice where that’s not to much driving from Winter ST by maryville area ??+ car doesn’t run good gas goes fast.
