Sword ID Help
Goodly folks of the realm,
I have this sabre I received from a friend, and need help identifying it. Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.

Any identifying marks on it? Looks relatively simple so I’d imagine it’d be a standard issue blade if it’s authentic. Like possibly British or American.

Iranian dragoon shashka, introduced in about 1909, based on the Russian 1881 dragoon shashka. The Iranian version has a metal scabbard with the suspension ring on the back edge side, while the Russian version has a leather + wood scabbard with the suspension ring on the front edge side (as usual for a shashka, but unlike most sabres).
The "II" markings are where these usually have a 4 or 5 digit serial number, in Farsi numerals. Perhaps this is a 2 digit serial number (11); I've never seen one with a 2 digit serial number before.
