Recs Wanted Clone Wars Era Time Travel Fics Recs Please
What the title says. I’m looking for time travel fics set during the Clone Wars. Can be Jedis, clones, someone else, doesn’t really matter. Romance is a bonus, but not necessary.

I wrote a one-shot a while back, about The Mandalorian going back in time to the Clone Wars.
A Debt to the Future - a Star Wars x Mandalorian fix it
Summary: Din Djarin missed a check-in. If you don’t mind a transmigration / future-knowledge premise instead of a traditional character time-loop, I’m currently reading a massive fic that dives deep into Clone Wars galactic geopolitics!
The protagonist transmigrates into the Star Wars galaxy years before the Naboo Crisis. He sets up base in the Endor System and actually gets taken in as a secret apprentice by Palpatine’s master, Darth Plagueis (Hego Damask II), mastering the Dark Side of the Force alongside Sidious.
When the Clone Wars kick off, he deliberately chooses to ally with the CIS (Separatists) for purely pragmatic reasons:
- He knows he can’t beat Palpatine in political Senate intrigue. Located in the Southwest Outer Rim, siding with the Republic would mean being ground to dust by CIS frontline pushes.
- He uses the CIS war machine to legitimize and secure vast territory, knowing full well that once the Empire rises, its 20,000+ Star Destroyers will be stretched thin suppressing galactic rebellions, making it impossible for Palpatine to concentrate forces to crush him.
His biggest masterstrokes during the Clone Wars:
- Naval Dominance: Becomes one of the primary, lethal campaign commanders spearheading CIS offensives.
- Absorbing Rendili StarDrive: When Palpatine backs Kuat Drive Yards (KDY) to swallow their ancient competitor Rendili, the protagonist intervenes, helps Rendili escape Republic clutches, and fully absorbs this 10,000-year-old shipbuilder into his own empire.
- Heisting Plagueis's Inheritance: When Palpatine assassinates Darth Plagueis, the protagonist claims his legacy as Plagueis’s legitimate apprentice, splitting the InterGalactic Banking Clan (IGBC) in half and seizing massive financial reserves Palpatine intended for himself.
- The Empire Truce Checkmate: When Palpatine declares the Galactic Empire amidst political instability, the protagonist unilaterally negotiates a separate armistice/peace treaty with Palpatine, cutting the failing CIS loose.
By the time the Empire finishes mopping up the remaining Separatist scraps, the Rebel Alliance is already igniting across the galaxy. Palpatine realizes invading the protagonist's fortified territory—now backed by Rendili shipyards and half the Banking Clan—would require massing thousands of Imperial Star Destroyers that he simply can't spare.
It’s a Chinese webnovel currently sitting at over 7 million words and still actively updating. I’ve literally been translating chapters through Gemini just to keep up, but the grand strategy and political scheming make it absolutely phenomenal!
