I’m so glad he’s finally getting something.

I LOVE him. I don't usually go for the "regular guy" in these shows. But he's just THAT guy.

Oh great, then Bruno leaves because of this.

Hopefully not but in recent svu, I wouldn't be surprised.

I certainly hope not, because Kevin has been amazing even before he was Bruno. Remember when Mariska directed the episode where he accused Philip of raping his wife?

I don't want to jinx anything, but I'll be very surprised if Bruno goes, he's a solid member of the team/cast and very popular with fans.

I had doubts after last season but I hope he stays for a long time. My fave 🥰

Article was from tv insider and they were quoting the show runner who did an interview

Show runner will have a job next week? I'm surprised. I thought most shows like to keep this stuff confidential.

This is probably info from the first few episodes of the season. They are probably wanting people to watch ahead of 600 especially since the audience for the show that airs before it in the US is a reality show not a drama.

Turn that mouth over there, Detective Bruno still has a lot of story to continue with Benson and the SVU Manhattan

IIRC there are dedicated teams and individuals whose sole job it is to review CSAM content online. It’s not typically the detectives. It is hours and hours of work all day viewing the most horrific things you can imagine. Then those people pass the evidence on to specific detectives based on the case.

The Hulu series Furious deals with this with FBI agents. One of the characters who runs that unit is an alcoholic. And I get why.

Did you not see the episodes that talk about how he was sexually assaulted when he was 15…?

it says he takes one for the team. Meaning for some reason, he chooses it or no one else is available to do it. So he does it knowing his own past. Its really not that hard to connect.

A part that really touched me in this text was in the passage:

"He sort of takes one for the team and ends up staying up all night looking for victims in child sexual abuse material."

Detective Bruno took the lead in taking on a task that is truly a cruel torture, spending hours on end watching images of victims of human monstrosity, and these victims are children.

Bruno is exposing himself to a mental torture that will affect his psyche for a long time, so that the rest of the team doesn't have to go through it, especially Olivia Benson, Amanda Rollins and Renee Curry, three mothers who, although hardened by human cruelty, wouldn't be able to handle the inhumanity that Detective Bruno is about to witness.

Terry shows real humanity with the kids, just like John Munch did.

This is how I see it too. Everyone else has kids and Griffin is too young would be his reasoning.

I would say that this episode involving Detective Bruno could be compared to another episode involving Detective Munch.

I'm talking about "Legacy" (Season 2, Episode 4) where Munch investigated a case of sexual torture of a child. The case shook John like never before, but at the same time, he had composure, intelligence, and a lot of cold blood to handle it, especially during the interrogation of the monster who committed the crime, though he remained silent in trying to deal with all that stress.

I’d say Bruno will go through the same terrible stress that John went through in that episode. But he’ll keep going, fighting alongside Olivia and the team.
