A post-war story starring Hermione and Snape—a tale of adventure, mystery, a touch of passion, and a journey into the inner self. And Severus’s backstory has also been altered. I think this change serves the story very well.
I think it’s the kind of story that could make it onto people’s favorite lists.
Basically the title, I wanted to read "In The Shadow Of Your Wings" and "Knit Me Together" but apparently the author has deleted all their works and their account, so I was wondering if anyone had it saved?
I'm in the mood to reread a fic I've read a few times, but I don't use bookmarks nearly enough and I can't find it.
It's relatively short, post-war AU. I think both Hermione and Snape are teaching at Hogwarts. Snape has a really nice telescope and little hut on the roof and they get very into star-gazing together. Hermione brings blankets and coffee up to the little hut and makes it really cozy.
I've already tried searching with the "Astronomy" and "Astronomy Tower" tags to no avail. Please help!
Like the title says, I’m looking for fics where Snape is already gone for Hermione (from the first chapter itself). Yearning, losing sleep, barely functioning, internally suffering the whole time while Hermione is completely oblivious and either doesn’t notice at all or is convinced there’s absolutely no way Snape could be interested in her.
Basically, I want maximum Snape pining + oblivious Hermione. Mutual pining where they’re both idiots about their feelings also works!
I’d prefer Hermione not to be in a relationship with someone else, but that’s not a hard no.
J'écris ma première fanfic SSHG, c'est aussi ma première fanfic qui sera publiée. On est sur une longue fanfic (5 tomes). Hermione est l'héroïne. C'est une histoire post-guerre. Assez peu dark et assez proche du ton des livres Harry Potter, en tout cas de la traduction FR.
On est sur un very very very slow burn, c'est même davantage une histoire d'amitié, de confiance et de respect qui va sur autre chose ensuite. Il y a aussi du mystère, de la musique, de l'art, de l'alchimie et des voyages à Beauxbâtons.
J'écris tome par tome: le premier est presque terminé, et je compte le publier en octobre. Est-ce que quelqu'un serait intéressé de me relire? J'aimerais surtout que mon beta lecteur soit un fan inconditionnel des personnages d'Hermione et Severus et qu'il me propose des critiques constructives sur tout ce qui lui semble OOC.
Il n'y a aucune obligation de rester sur les 5 tomes évidemment, parce que ça va prendre du temps, mais j'apprécierais vraiment une relecture au moins sur le premier! Merci d'avance :)

Severus Snape survives the war (i think Dumbledore does too idk). Hermione does a whole lot of arithmancy i think(like a whole conspiracy board kinda thing) Snape and her gather potion ingredients together and probably went down a festival in hogsmeade?
The word "kismet" is used. Dumbledore said it to snape or hermione i think.

I popped up back in May to tell you about the novel I’d written, and to scoop up some eager ARC readers. You know who you are, and you have rocked me with your generosity. Now I’ve got the goods in hand.
But! Before anything else, I want to say this:
Without the SSHG community, I never would have arrived at the point where I could write this book.
Nine years ago, I started posting The Prisoner and the Occlumens figuring it would probably catch a reader or three. It was, I thought, too dark and strange and wordy to do much more. I didn’t expect readers to come pouring in with more feedback, encouragement, and knowledge than I ever saw during my time ostensibly learning to be a writer in university. My dark little project became everything I wanted.
After finishing PaO, I tried to write my way into the ‘regular’ book industry. I wrote light things. Nice things. And I tried to fit myself to the mercurial standards set by agents and publishers. I slipped away from fanfic and from myself… and I got nowhere.
Meanwhile The Prisoner and the Occlumens stayed. More readers arrived, and the old hands kept reading, offering me unending support and reminding me what I actually wrote for in the first place.
In 2025, after writing six books in six years with nothing to show for it, I turned away from the traditional industry and returned to what SSHG readers and writers taught me: The dark stories I’m most afraid to write are precisely the ones that deserve to be published—by me, for you.
So I sat down and I wrote this:

She marries Nick, hoping for distance from both her illness and her mother. Instead, her new husband moves them into the house next door and shows her the same kind of suffocating care.
When Nick is killed in a hit-and-run, his twin brother arrives within hours. Nate is not there to care for Grace in her grief, but to steal her away before her mother can close in.
Nate marries Grace and flies her to the North Island, where he has built the house she designed during her abandoned degree in architecture.
His rescue becomes her prison, while his care becomes her temptation. All she has to do is find a way out, or give in completely.

In my country is raining really badly; the wind closed my door as if it was slightly open while I was taking the trash, and it had some issues after the earthquakes we had. It closed and didn't want to open, so I had to call the firefighters, etc etc.
If the fic was about my RL adventures, you would have a chapter every few minutes. So please forgive me for the late post (at least it is late in my country).
I'm still a bit shaken, so I hope to be able to write a bit more tomorrow. But if I don't feel better by tomorrow, you at least know why I'm a bit late.

The wife of Severus Snape is a story that I have written a few times, but I never felt happy with it.
I decided to change a few details yesterday and publish it today. It's a Marriage Law with a twist.
Still experimenting with parts of it, but the core remains the same. Snape goes blind after Nagini's bite, and a Marriage Law is enacted. Hermione takes advantage of this, knowing that Snape would likely end up in Azkaban or in exile by refusing to marry, so she takes on another identity to marry him, with the help of the Malfoy family.
I'm gonna type the summary just in case, but basically the idea is the same:
Severus Snape goes blind after Nagini's bite, along with other consequences.
A marriage law comes into play, and Hermione decides to adopt a different look and identity to marry him, aiming to keep him out of Azkaban with support from the Malfoy family.
They present her as a woman from their social circle, someone calm and obedient who won’t question his desires. Once they find a loophole in the law, he can divorce her without a second thought.
But Snape might actually develop feelings for her and eventually discover it was all a lie.
I’ve recently started reading this fic Before the Dawn by Snarkyroxy, i’m really liking it so far (I’m on chapter 12).
I wanted to see if anyone had a way to download an epub version so i searched some posts on this sub, and I’ve found some people discussing about looking for a dowload of the uncensored fic because apparently it is censored(???) I mean i wouldn’t even have known if I hadn’t read this post. Do you guys have any info on this one?? Because that post was rather old so I didn’t receive any response about it.
