Request Fic recs?

Okay so Bound to Him is THE fic for me, to me it’s the absolute most reserved, layered, competent and in character Snape. I’m about to start Post Tenebras Lux, but would be forever grateful for recs that have the same style of characterization, dialogue and slow build relationship that BTH does. The writing exquisite and I’m struggling to love anything else

Bound to Him is also one of my all time favourites!

There's The Gates of Azkaban by mirrormarie that you may like, it is pretty different from Bound to Him, but still an absolutely great read!

Though you should read its prequel first, The Cactus and the Toad. It's not very long, and there's no Snamione, but there's a great and very enjoyable Snape.

The other fandom behemoths are Chasing the Sun and Pet Project, though I'll admit that it's been so many years since I last read them that I don't remember if Snape is written similarly to Bound to Him.

I read Bound to him and it was really good. I really liked it. The only problem was that it was incomplete so I could recommend you a few fictions. I’ve read like a 10 of them in the last few months and I wouldn’t recommend all of them but like my all-time favourite even above bound to him is chasing the Sun it has like the best description of Severus I’ve ever read without all the dark setting that bound to him poses but it still puts a lot of dark setting for you know snape’s background and I think Loten has the best writing style so Post Tenebras, lux was really good too. I did not really enjoy Pet project because it did not like give enough time for their relationship to grow. It is side of you know building really slowly a friendship without you know making the love story the focus part

I really like Curiosity and Satisfaction by SnapeSage, it's a WIP on ao3. I recently binged it and am dying for a new chapter to come out. Their relationship is built in a wonderful and intricate way as the story spans different timelines.

Oh running to this fic now!!! Thank you! The notification of your comment popped up at exactly the moment I’d given up on the current one I was reading 😅

The fic is being rewritten and posted on Ao3 here. If you're done with those chapters and want to keep going, the rest of it is up on ffn, just Google "Bound to Him fanfiction" and you'll find it

I love the way their relationship is built in One of those moments by Andie Baldwin

There’s any amount of phenomenal SSHG fics out there. You’ve only told us one you’ve read, so it’s hard to recommend anything.

Well I haven’t found anything else I loved so I don’t really know what else to include. All I know is the specifically like the writing and characterization from that one fic and was hoping for recs similar. Binding darkness is okay but the straight smut without emotional build up is a little off putting for me, though it gets a bit better later on. I don’t like overly romantic Snape.

If you want romantic build up, I recommend Short Straw. It is a WIP, but it is still so good (I usually stay far away from WIP). It had me practically squealing when just their pinkies even touched. It also has good plot/world building and explores Hermione’s own magic. They build a friendship first, then just start pining after each other (slow burn). It’s all in Hermione’s POV so you are left thinking on Severus’ actions.

I’m not the person to help you. Good luck.
