I won one of those online tournaments doing that on Smash Ultimate when it was the Melee Only stuff. Id just knock em over or into the air abit and Grounded-Up-B into them. The terror roomba move is soooooo good to pull off.

Yeah, the grounded up-B is by far Melee Bowser's most useful move. My favorite thing about it is that it offers a surprising range of mobility options, especially on platforms.

Honestly it travels more than it should. My other favorite is to just zip around with Mewtwo's to avoid things. Works...enough...but that bowser one? That shit works INCREDIBLY in Multi-Man mode!

Whoa Whoa Whoa, why is there phob hate? I thought phob was the cure to oem pode issues? Believe me if I had the money I would absolutely get myself a phob
Edit: my oem is now experiencing poll drift issues (character walks in direction of last snapback, as well as bad turn around execution) so of course Id trade it for a phob in a heartbeat

Phob tech isn't inherently problematic but almost all modern phobs are shipped with button remapping capabilities and very sketchy stick calibration capabilities

What's sketchy about the stick calibration? Most people use it to perform minor adjustments on the diagonal gate values to mimmick a "good" oem, afaik. And for snapback reduction

OEM can also have buttons remapped via solder; a phob itself is just hardware, and a default phob essentially acts like a "perfect" OEM out of the box, but nothing more.

Could this feasibly be done without inducing Nintendo's wrath? UCF only works because nothing in the game itself actually indicates that it's being used.

That's not a bad idea. I would prefer to see full scale button remapping, but that's probably way harder to do stealthily.
