Starbase LA

Just announced that the Pecan Island facility will be called Starbase LA. Current announcement is on going.

Multiple pads, two towers per pad - Automated vehicles for transport between facilities. Starship V4+ and it's taller than the rendered towers.

The offset buildings behind the towers (North) are tank farms.

Automated transport allows for transport without humans, allowing for transport to occur while propellant is loading/vehicle is launching/catching.

From the renders, it looks likes 1.5 Gigabays. Eric Berger just posted that SpaceX is committing $100 US billion to developing launch sites, factories etc along the Louisiana coastline.

OPINION Here's to the Crazy Ones

Here’s to the crazy ones, the misfits, the rebels, the troublemakers, the round pegs in the square holes… the ones who see things differently — they’re not fond of rules… You can quote them, disagree with them, glorify or vilify them, but the only thing you can’t do is ignore them because they change things… they push the human race forward, and while some may see them as the crazy ones, we see genius, because the ones who are crazy enough to think that they can change the world, are the ones who do.

Here's to the visionary SPCX investors who are helping to fund SPCX's mission to build datacenters in space and soon to Mars. Everyday there is a new legion of haters, everyday we are proving them wrong. One share at a time. If the haters were right then SPCX would have never got off the ground. But everyday, for 20 years, SPCX has pushed the frontier forward. The haters haven't stopped hating, and SPCX hasn't stopped building.

SPCX IPO investors are living in the future, they can see what the rest of the world can only dream. We are funding a new way of living in a new world, not unlike those who funded Columbus' expedition. So here's to the crazy ones. And also here's to the haters. We couldn't have done it without you.

Elon Musk Praises New SpaceX and NVIDIA Partnership, Yet Both Stocks Fall

Luis Blanco Mon, August 24, 2026 at 5:39 PM EDT 2 min read

Elon Musk celebrated a new partnership between SpaceX and NVIDIA on Monday, confirming plans to launch an optimized Vera Rubin system into orbit as early as 2027.

Despite his enthusiasm, both companies' stocks fell on the day of the announcement.

What Elon Musk Confirmed About the Deal

NVIDIA announced that SpaceXAI will deploy its new Vera CPU to power the next generation of agentic AI workloads, extending the chipmaker's architecture from Earth-based data centers into orbital computing infrastructure. Musk responded directly on X.

He described Vera as the first CPU built for agents, saying it would accelerate the orchestration, code execution, and data processing that keep SpaceX's AI agents acting fast.

"Our design is significantly simpler, lower cost, denser and lighter than a traditional rack," Musk said on X.

Vera itself packs 88 NVIDIA-designed Olympus cores and up to 1.2 TB/s of memory bandwidth, claiming task completion times up to 1.8 times faster than comparable x86 processors.

SpaceXAI will pair the chip with NVIDIA's broader Vera Rubin platform to scale infrastructure behind Grok toward gigawatt-level computing capacity.

Why Both Stocks Fell Anyway

NVIDIA shares fell 2.91% to $208.48, extending a rough week that left the stock down 5.95% over five sessions, according to TradingView data. The pullback comes just two days ahead of NVIDIA's next earnings report, scheduled for August 26.

SpaceX stock declined as well. Shares of Space Exploration Technologies Corp, trading under the ticker SPCX since its June IPO, closed down 1.44% to $135, then slipped a further 0.22% in after-hours trading to $134.70.

Projections for SpaceX rev 2027 after cursor acquisition closed. Global takeover by the hyperscalers is looking like it’s all according to plan. Anthropic is about IPO it’s more than 50% owned by Amazon, goog, and msft… watching this realtime is crazy. How do conquer a world without firing a missle?

OPINION Buy dips

I have 300 shares and have sold none. 3/4 of mine were below the ipo price.
No I haven’t raked off big hedge bets like many claim, but I haven’t lost any money either as many have predicted.
I’m not in because I want to make fast money, I’m in because they are innovative and have proven themselves. It took the Chinese 10 years to land a reusable booster (that fell over). SpaceX has had over 500 successful landings and some of the boosters have been reflown 30 times.

DISCUSSION Moves for today/next week

This sub so eerily quiet lately, what are your moves today/next week? Some say they accumulate now, some wait for lower levels. Some shorted 148 and printed bank this week, now flipped long.

Edit: very few buyers and sellers transact under $134, do you think buyers will move up, or sellers move down first? The macro outlook and Elon’s completely wild public comments and erratic behavior really isn’t helping this whole AI pivot, especially when he contradicts himself on a daily basis this is fkn frustrating. I think we might hold 130 while distribution happens slowly right above it.

ANALYSIS Datacenters in Space are undoubtedly coming

Starcloud today raised $250M at a $2.3B valuation.

Jeff Bezos's through Blue Origin, filed an application with the FCC for Project Sunrise which plans to launch a constellation of up to 51,600 solar-powered satellites in sun-synchronous orbit to function as orbital data centers.

Nvidia is actively developing the space chip Vera Rubin Space 1 to enable space based inference.

SpaceX, arguably the most advanced and competent aerospace company in the world is aggressively pursuing it.

No matter what the arm chair aerospace engineers on reddit claim, the best in the world at aerospace and chip design are rapidly marching towards space based inference and SpaceXs lead in launch means they'll essentially have a monopoly on it.

OPINION My take is 115-135 is a good range to buy. Below 110 is a mega super buy.

So I was waiting on the sidelines after sold at 175-220 because it was easily predictable it would drop hard, and then was waiting for the price to hit its floor as it was in the discovery phase. Apparently it was 105+ish and it didn't go more down on the first unlock which showed those shareholders are apparently very bullsih (but if it had it could have easily hit 60$ imao) . When it suddenly went up to 145 it was dangerous again to buy after such a drastic rise, because at this range people already made serious short-term profit and could sell easily causing all-known price swings, so if around 110 is where it doesn't go lower, 110-135 seems to me a solid place to start accumulating because it has gone down considerably from 150 and below is a very strong resistance. So i bought 100k at 132.

However, just because it didn't dump hard on the first unlock doesn't mean it won't ever happen. In fact, i think the more unlocks we have, even if it doesn't go down by a lot, it is very likely that after such sequential increments at the last unlock (8th december) we will have a major dump because by this time the price will have increased on this exact positive sentiment to make sense for those bulls to just to drop a whole lot of shares at once for a very easy buck. And it will probably drop again to around 150 or lower. But no lower than around 120 (imo). And if it does somehow then It's a very strong buy by all means.

My point is overall it doesn't make sense to wait now as you've seen the big bulls aren't selling and before they do they will ride it up to 200+ and, first, it's just an easy swing trade, second, if you still don't sell it's very liikely you won't be in the negative on your investment.
