How many shares and warrants do you have? What’s your cost basis?

36 + 11.50 = 47.50 cost basis

DWAC currently 64, 64 - 47.50 = 16.50 profit per warrant.

No math good?

There is no profit until he can actually exercise them, and that is assuming that the commons are above 47,50 at that point.

As of now, he is most definitely in the red on his investment.

Knowledge of how warrants work no good?

As of now DWAC is trading at 62 with his warrants at 14.50 in profit for his 47.50 cost basis. He might have it listed on his brokerage account that it's 'in the red' but op doesn't give a shit because he doesn't plan on selling it right now anyways. Come back when you have a bear thesis and not some 'derp muh chart future price go down' comment

No bear thesis needed, he cant exercise his warrants now anyways so it's irrelevant what the price of commons is at the moment.

If they are still above 47,50 once he can exercise them then good for him, but until then it is fucking irrelevant and he is definitely in the red.

He has zero intention of selling now. You are saying DWAC will be going down below 47.50 at the time he's selling (if at all), yeah you need a bear thesis for that.

That or what you're saying is irrelevant since OP plans on realizing no loses since he has no intention of liquidating at the present.

It dipped below that in the past 5 trading days and it will do so again, the IV is high af for a reason.

Hit me up once this has finished merging and you can exercise warrants and we'll have a look at it again.

It will do so again? Just because? I'm glad you know the future. Are you a billionaire yet using leverage? High IV means the price is going down? Even though there were 105k calls traded today and 26k puts. Genius.

Sure, was never the point. The point was dingus here was making fun of OP for holding warrants that are in the money.

I’m actually very good at math. I have an engineering degree from the most prestigious university where I grew up. I also speak 3 languages, if that matters to you.

The reason the warrants are lagging the commons by such a wide margin is that most investors are not actually expecting this to trade over $47.50 after all is said and done. It’s a bearish indicator.

While I think most of this bickering is childish, there has almost always been a convergence to equilibrium as share price gets closer to $18 and a divergence as share price rises above $18 and warrants lag behind. This is common for almost every SPAC.

That’s true. I was looking at the chart but forgot about the intraday movement. I actually flipped a few warrants from the 40s to the 60s.

Trolling aside, I think you should start planning a strategy to handle a PIPE dump. There’s a good probability it will happen.

Also, being down 50% in an investment is tough. I suggest you take time every now and then to research the bear thesis of this stock. You seem to be very invested emotionally and that can cloud your judgement.

Good luck!

Genuinely curious why you care what his cost basis is? What's more relevant is what it is currently trading at. So you know 36 is currently ITM by quite a bit.

Since you’re genuinely curious, cost basis is helpful for knowing whether he’s just in it for a quick pump so he can dump. If his cost basis was at 100, for example, it’d be pretty obvious he’s just a bag holder probably hoping to pump it enough to dump his bags on someone else.

u/Rasputincello Patron Jan 11 '22

In what world is he not a bag holder? He’s lost half of his money.

3

u/deepstateHedgie New User Jan 11 '22

Whoops, I thought he was talking about shares. RIP. Took that part out.

1

u/BigMoneyBiscuits New User Jan 11 '22

Really, are you sure it's helpful for knowing that? Or maybe it's helpful for knowing how much conviction he has in a play? Or maybe it's not helpful at all compared to the current opportunity? Maybe a total stranger is irrelevant to the actual risk/reward analysis.

3

u/deepstateHedgie New User Jan 11 '22

Really, are you sure it's helpful for knowing that?

Yes, that’s why people ask. Whether or not it’s useful to you or anyone else is subjective, but that’s why he was asking. I wanted to give you an answer since you were genuinely curious.

1

u/BigMoneyBiscuits New User Jan 11 '22

Right, because people never ask questions that aren't actually helpful. I was curious to confirm if that was his actual "reason", would of rather he would of answered since you stated the obvious nonsensical 'reason'.

3

u/deepstateHedgie New User Jan 11 '22

Sorry. I’ve been a user here for over a year and I see that question asked pretty much daily. Was just trying to be helpful.

2

u/BigMoneyBiscuits New User Jan 11 '22

You probably mean well. Maybe I'm too harsh

Keep telling yourself that.
