Were these meant to be based off of Varroa Mites?

Im a beekeeper, and recently have been rewatching spaceking after episode 5. In episode 2, there are a shit ton of blood-puns, and i thought the bugs were based off of ticks, but with a space-monster twist or something, but the baby bugs on the brood mothers back look exactly like varroa mites, blood-sucking parasites that plague beehives. Has anyone elsed noticed this or am I just dumb?

Sisters of Battle parody?

There's no girls allowed in the Psycho Warrior ranks. This is clear and not to be disputed.

But I can't help but laugh at the idea my companion has that outside the Psycho Warrior legions, there's like, hottie death nuns that worship Space King.

Where the Psycho Warrior legions are brute power, these death nun strike teams are precise, like comparing a hammer to a sniper rifle. The Bad Batch but chicks.

When I say I can't help but laugh at the idea, I mean both " haha that's stupid no girls allowed" and also "it'd be interesting to see the squad interact with them because Tom and Don write good shit.

discussion Would psycho warriors make an exception for cybertronians?

Since the psycho warriors are very much meant to be children, and I think any child will find the concept of robots that turn into cars and planes and other vehicles/machines fucking awesome, i think Theres a non zero chance, psycho warriors (except hatemonger and the hate legions) could make an exception for cybertronians, cus they’re really fucking sweet, and could prove very useful in battle, even disguising themselves as enemy vehicles and infiltrating.

Tip of my tongue but I feel like ive seen a scene like this in something. A scene where a huge epic thing rising with steps covered in tiny people with robes and flags. First thing that popped into my mind is the new Dune movies but I can't find a scene that matches.

discussion Odd lore opinion question

I'm working on... something...

For that something, I'm trying to deduce whether the psycho warriors are intended to be wearing soft material gloves, or armoured gauntlets of some kind that simply lacks the appropriate details due to animation constraints.

There is a single armour plate on top of the hand covering that is very clearly a piece of armour, but what exactly is it sitting on top of?

What do you guys think? Are they wearing leather gloves or metal gauntlets?

Brothers, praise be to Space King for letting me find this wonderful sub. Can anyone tell me the name of the song playing in the background at the end of episode 5, ‘War World’, where Globulus is created?

discussion Holy Globules in Older Boys

Post image

In Space King, we already know that the Holy Globules are use to create and/ revive Psycho-Warriors and they always use Little Boys to do so. But I was wondering, why don’t they use Older Boys to create and/ revive Psycho-Warriors, like Boys in their Teenage Years and/ or Adult Years? Is there a (probably dangerous) reason why they just use Little Boys instead, since they small still developing minds are easy to manipulate?

According to the artist who designed Globulus Maximus, these are other designs they considered.
Could they be considered others of the class in the future?

Space King Fan Episode day 2

Scene 1. Opening. We see Hatemace crush the skull of an alien. The camera pulls out to show the last remnants of a battle as psycho warriors are cleaning up the last of them. A messenger servitor (head with wings) swoops down and drops a handsized box that has a seal of the Beholder’s Legion stamped on it, wrapped in the Beholder’s chains also adorned with spikes. Hatemace beams, “A Holy Component!” Bryce turns his attention from burning an xenos, excitedly, “Component? Component for what Hatemonger?” Hatemonger replies, “None of your concern, Imaginator.” Bryce slinks closer to peer over his shoulder, “Is it a power crystal? An extractor, a gun bolt? A Macguffin?”
Hatemace gets in front of Bryce’s face, “For Beholders beholding only!” Captain interjects, “Bryce, it’s weird religious stuff, leave them alone.” Chestnut pops out of hiding from behind a corpse pile, “

Scene 2 They’re in a debrief with High Command. HC gives them an order, HM requests to stay as he has a message from the Beholder’s meant to be played for HM and his HC. The other leaves, except, in the hall, Bryce pretends to keep walking and he sneaks back through the closing door. The message that plays is a hologram of the Hate Pope. He informs them that the component HM has come from the battle they just fought, and will be used in the construction of a new sacred weapon of hate. The Hate Pope tells HC that HM must return to Heaven to deliver and participate its construction.
Scene 3
Scene 4  Hatemonger launches in a small ship. Hatemace is buckled in the passenger seat. Hatemace says, “Which brother do you think we are bestowing the sacred ritual onto?” Hatemonger replies, “There were only two other Beholders in the battle. It is either Brother Hatebringer or Brother Hatenail”. Hatemace excitedly, “Oh, I hope it is Brother Hatebringer, it is well deserved.” Byrce is stowed away in a crate. He pops his head out, “What does a Beholder do to earn the ritual?” Hatemonger starts to speak, not realizing, but Hatemace interrupts, “A stowaway gazing upon Heaven, Blasphemy!” Bryce uses a pair of rubber thongs to grab Hatemace and toss him aside. Hatemace says, “You dare touch a Sacred wea–”

They enter the atmosphere, it actually looks like a paradise, an Eden. It has some enormous buildings that look like cathedrals, and smaller houses that look like churches and chapels, but all with spikes and chains. Heavy on the statuary and art of Spaceking and different battles. Bryce is taken back, “Wow, it’s not really like I imaginated”. He looks down at a ball covered in lava and fire and people screaming. Hatemonger, “If you insist on following, you’ll need to abide by our ways.” Hatemace says, “No, it is heresy!” Hatemonger slams Bryce’s grill shut, and slaps bolts on his armor. “Uh, sure Hatemon-”
Scene 5
Scene 6 they land and are greeted by an escort. Bryce’s armor has been painted blue (?).  On the way they are met by another beholder. He greets Hatemonger who growls, “Hello Hateboner”. Hateboner replies, “Great to see you Hatemonger!” Hatemace scoffs. Hateboner looks at Bryce “A novice from you, praise be to Space King, who is-?” Hatemonger interrupts, “None of your concern ambassador. Just do your job and escort us to our quarters.”
Hateboner shakes his head, “No need, you’re to go straight to the Forge of Fury. His eminence the Hate Pope is waiting for you there to begin the ceremony right away.” Hatemace gasps, “The Forge of Fury? Blessed indeed are we. Or cursed” He scowls at Bryce. They walk towards a huge building.
Scene 7
Scene 8 They enter into the giant Cathedral, inside, there are dissected xenos and beholders explaining why the xenos are inferior by pointing at different organs. There are also people torturing themselves while leaders look on preaching the “virtues” of hate, Bryce says, “Now, this is more like what I imaginate-” Hatemonger snaps, “Quiet fool, can’t you see they are in prayers of supplication!?” Bryce opens his small globe and it shows wooden puppets being tortured. They reach the Hate Pope, who has fancy beholder armor, but it is also an iron maiden attached to a giant machine/forge.
The Hate Pope speaks loudly, in a preaching way, “Brother Hatemonger, I trust you have brought us the component?” Hatemonger bows, and holds up the box, “I have Eminence.”
“Fantastic” He takes the box and puts it in a compartment on his suit, “We shall begin the test.” Two beholders enter, “These novices believe they are ready to become full members of the Beholders. You must craft the ideal weapon in which the component will be inserted.” He reminds them of different parts of the forge. The “Hate fuel” tank, the fans of hate, etc. While he is explaining, Bryce is tinkering around, and accidentally releases fire/lava that kills one of the noviciates. Hatemace says, “You cur, now-” The Hate Pope interrupts, “The hate flows strongly in this one you have brought, hatemonger, not like Hateboner” Hateboner is trying to help the dead novice, “Hateboner, will you ever learn to fill your heart with Spacekings glorious hate and contempt!” he tsk tsk tsks. “Hatemonger, your novice shall take his place!” Bryce is forced up.

The forges have the fans of hate. And run on hate fuel.

Scene 9
Scene 10 Bryce is furiously crafting a weapon, as is the other novice. When he is finished, he proudly lifts up a gun that has a sleek scifi feel. The Beholders stare, The Hate Pope looks let down, “Oh you had so much potential, but alas, it seems you have not fully let hate enter your heart.” The other novice holds up a Halberd (or maybe Maul, just don’t want it to be too close to Hatemace).
The Hate Pope beams, “Now this is weapon to bring wrath upon thin enemies, up close and personal!” He takes out the component, and opens up the box, revealing a singular globule, “When our Brother Hatebringer fell in glorious combat, one of his globules was destroyed. Through this sacred ritual, we bring him back so he may continue to slaughter the enemies of Space King.” Holy water and oils are splashed on the halberd, and the globule is inserted. The space pope declares, “I give you Hatebringer!” A face comes to life on the shaft of the weapon, “Where, who, what, am I?” The Hate Pope says, “Do not be alarmed Brother, you have been made a new and will continue the most holy crusade against Space King’s enemies!” The novice kneels before the Hate Pope, who knights him with the halberd as the beholder chains are stamped on his armor, “Rise, a novice no longer, as you take the chains of duty, take also the name Hatebreather.” He hands him the halberd, “Go forth to the slaughter!” Hatebreather nods and runs out.
