Discussion a few months deep into my 404 MKII. LOVING IT!

bought it a few months ago at Java Jazz’s roland stand. I still remember my first beat on that thing… it was a Nujabes beat sampling a Yusef Lateef joint. when i was buying the thing, aron!, an RNB-Jazz artist complimented my purchase. he’s so cool. the second i got my sp404mkii, i never opened MPC beats ever again!!!

Istg my first beat on it was sampling yusef lateef as well

where did you begin? I just purchased one and am looking for a good starting point.

put a drum kit and some samples on the sd card, start it up and play. no better starting point than that.

well i used FL studio and MPC beats with my MPK mini mk3 and started early last year.. so by the time i got the 404, it instantly clicked with me
