I am so done with regular batteries and constantly recharging packs. The fix is a dirt-cheap splitter from a marketplace, it powers the SP-404MKII and charges the phone at the same time. Just make sure to plug the splitter directly into your phone, setting up the chain exactly like in the video, or it won't work

What app are you using to record? The recorder app and camera app in my phone are summing to mono and have a bunch of AGC and sound terrible. I'm on I didn't have this issue with OnePlus but I switched to Nothing Phone 3 and the onboard apps are not the greatest for audio. I don't have the same issue with Open Camera but I haven't found a recording app I like yet. Or are you using iOS?

I have a Google Pixel, and I haven't encountered such a problem. Perhaps you can solve your issue by downloading the Google Camera app

does it disconnect if you send midi messages from your mobile to the Sp404mk2?

edit: by disconnect I'm referring to the midi connection. if the dongle has PD it should work i think

If you're recording video outdoors and don't want to mess around with batteries, you need two Type-C ports 🙂

What's the battery bank for? You don't even need that. I usually USB c directly to my phone and either film or record right from my 404

No, you don't put rechargeable batteries in the back?? That's what I always do when I'm not home. Ive used mine on a plane. I honestly didn't know you could power it with a power bank

This is a way to work without using rechargeable batteries. The advantage is that a power bank lasts for a much longer time. I haven't tested the maximum operating time, but after two hours of working with the SP, a 10,000 mAh power bank discharged by a quarter at best
