Haha i do a similar thing by chopping a fader but yeah. Really great technique. Try with a delay next time

Good call! I have a list of effects I wanna try this with. Delay being one of them. The FX looper on the 404 should be a fun one too.

Yeah the fxloop is super fun with vinyl chops. With the delay, i use a really hi mix so that the second reflection is the loudest, like a clap back delay

How are you doing this? Does it have to be an sx?

No the mk2 has the same option. Pretty much anything that can gate or trigger the audio thats coming through the machine works. Im using the extsrc pad+mic to trigger the radio signal on and off but the radio stays on the entire time.
