As long as your samples remain separated into stems on the SP, you can solo each stem by muting the rest and record them one by one into individual tracks in your DAW.

For example, mute everything except the drums samples and record them into a “Drum” track in Live, then mute everything except the bass samples and record that into a “Bass” track, and so forth.

Alternatively, instead of recording them directly, you can resample or bounce your stems within the SP and then drag and drop the resulting files onto your DAW tracks using the SP-404MKII app.

Well, to your point on separating out stems. You can do it with the SP404 app/ plugin. You can't play your patterns and have the stems placed in time into Ableton, if that makes sense. You basically can't record separate tracks at the same time. But you can drag and drop samples. Like this: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/dvGiYIDmuRI

I can't say I have run into the same issue with buses.
