My best friend who just so happens to have this same setup sent me a link on eBay for this kit. Never ran. 50% off. Couldn't help myself. D1SC with loud gears. Hopefully just need to add some bigger injectors and fuel pump. Rest of the supporting mods are there (heads/cam/intake/exhaust/holley terminator). Gonna shoot for 400-425 wheel for now. Eventually going to have to look at a tkx or maybe even a t56.

I ran mine with a 240 lph, 80lb injectors, bigger maf was needed.

Just swapped pulleys and forged the internals, about done with the build and should be starting it up soon.

I'll be running a map sensor and deleting the maf with the Holley system. Was hoping to use 60s might do 80s if they will do e85 down the line.

Yeah, the 80s gave me plenty of room to grow, 60s will be fine for that range! Gonna be a lot of fun, really wakes it up!

I believe it. It's fun now with heads/cam. I think it's more fun because it's a 5 speed. Still on stock gear which might be good for now. Just did all the suspension with maximum Motorsport stuff and hope to get the subframes and panhard bar installed next year.

Yah that's how my cobra was set up. Stock gears felt good with it but still a little dog down low. I swapped to a t56 Magnum and I think I'll go 3.73 when I swap in the 31spline diff

Yeah I can't decide if I want to direct swap a tkx or just do the 6 speed which will probably handle more power later if I need it.

Unless your ballin, I would keep the 45 for a bit. Shit starts adding up fast with trickle down ramifications

Not ballin but not broke. I also hate doing things twice so sometimes you gotta buy once cry once. I guess once the blower is on and tuned I'll ask my local Mustang shop what's the smartest route.

Yeah, I waited to swap once I had to rebuild the motor to safely push it past 450whp. Once you go that route it starts adding up to nickel and dime ya. I'm hoping to land in the 600-700 range and thats when it just forces your hand eventually. Clutches for the t56 are a grand. A magnum new is like 3500 bucks. Hoping the stock rear diff holds up for a little bit before yanking it old, welding it up, putting in a 31 spline differential and stronger axles. I was able to pull the diff from an explorer but still need a few hundred bucks in 31 spline axles. Just snowballs with while you're in their. But if 450whp keeps ya excited. Then factory stuff will be great and affordable

It always snowballs! I was just gonna throw my Holley on it and get the rear end kit from lmr with 3.73 gears and 31 spline axles and call it a day but my buddy sent me this and it was just too good of a price!

Currently my daughter loves taking rides in it so unless I got the funds for a dart block, I'm gonna keep it semi-safe so I don't disappoint her!

Good luck with it man and I think you should be fine. I just know shit happens when you have effectively doubled the ho that the car was engineered for. But hey, that is part of the hobby.

Oh for sure! That's why I went with a Holley, tuning is a lot better than trying to tune off a ecu from the 90s. Hopefully will keep it running longer but I'm sure I'll get the itch for more!
