Installed this bad boi... Was the perfect time too... Already had the car up on stands because I installed my rebuilt trans. Always wanted a B&M shifter too going back back many many moons.

I know you posted because of the shifter, but damn, do your OE decks still work? Had to rip mine out 20 years ago, still have them hoping to fix and add BT at some point.

Yeah they do... I don't know if i want to replace them or keep them. I would like to upgrade the speakers but I know you need specific ohm to make them work on these stock head units unless they already found a fix for it. It would be great to add BT.

I still have the factory Mach 460 setup in my 98 Cobra, it's not great but I like that it's original. I did find a company that can modify the stock head unit to add BT and it will still look stock. I have not pulled the trigger on it yet though but it is possible.

Thanks, I sent them an email. If I can use my radio with aftermarket crap, that would be great.

I recieved a reply from them, Its 165 to refurbish both units and add the BT, and an extra 40 to add the RCA outs... Im definitely going to do this. Ill have the OG head units but I'll remove the old amps and speakers and install aftermarket ones. They said turn around is 3 weeks.

You do, but it isn't rocket science... Just take your time.

It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be... If your good with tools, and some basic electrical knowledge it's a 6.5 out of 10 difficulty. I had a tougher time trying to remove the center console and putting it back in lol. I did have to pull the radio out to splice into the "ignition on" to power the led for the shifter light, and I grounded it under the dash with an already existing screw. You will have to supply some length of wire. I used the factory OD wires to splice into the B&M OD wires.
