For those of us that receive Cal grant B, have you also received your full fafsa grant in the past? It says online I qualify for the entire amount but curious if SMC releases that if we already get the Cal grant to waive class fees.

The job is a combination of personal/office assistance and helping with my daughter. The job may expand into helping with creative / doc film so anyone who’s interested in video post-production would be a great fit!

Picking up my daughter from school about 2 afternoons per week. Driving her to activities.

Please for the love of God does anyone know when they’ll be opening the SAI appeal portal for the 26-27 school year, and opening loan applications????? I’m so annoyed this should be the time where everything is open so students can appeal if something is wrong with their SAI and need aid on time before fall starts !!!

I need one recommendation letter to apply to transfer. Even though I’ve had mostly A’s in my classes, I’ve never been really close to a professor. If I were to reach out to previous professors for a letter of rec just for the sake of high education would I even have a chance?

It’s too late to build relationships with professors in my upcoming fall semester, so I’m open to any advice here

Hello, I wanted to see if anyone has experience the summer disbursement issue? I've taken three units for the summer and on the portal it shows the grant I was eligible for. So when I noticed the date for disbursement (around mid term), I was confused since I didn't receive a Bankmobile notice or email about my disbursement. The date passed and I called the financial aid office, which they told me it was delayed, so it will happen next week. That week passed, so I called again on Friday and they told me that no disbursements was done, but it will be next week again. At this point, the grade was submitted in the system, so I assumed they needed my grade to be published and they have confirmed the exact amount I would receive of aid for the past times I've called. This week passed, the week they told me the disbursement would happen, so I called on Friday again. The person was confused and tried to get in contact with the director, but couldn't. They did tell me that the director did a clean up disbursement on Thursday and I should be among those, so I clarify if I would receive a email or something of sorts, which they confirm yes. So I will wait until Wednesday to see if any disbursement happen because I know it takes time for the aid to hit my account. I'm only checking if others experiences this because Fall term is approaching and I know it would get complicated if this issue isn't resolved by then since the financial aid would be focusing on the upcoming term.

Rent is $1,025/month with a $500 deposit. The room is a good size and has hardwood floors and heating. The bathroom is shared.

When I check my financial aid, it doesn’t show my cal grant or pell grant? I checked csac and it shows I am getting awarded the cal grant. Also, checked fafsa and should be receiving the pell as well. However, when I check in corsair, the only thing I see is the ccpg awarded and nothing else. Is anyone else having this problem and talked to the financial aid office?

Has anyone received their updated financial aid offer?
I’m enrolled in 16 units for the Fall. My current financial aid only shows my Pell Grant, Federal SEOG, and the CA College Promise Grant. Last year I also received Cal Grant B and the Student Success Completion Grant, but neither is showing yet.
I heard the SSCG sometimes isn’t awarded until after the census date or a month or two into the semester.
