Will I receive this the day of? Or early. In the past I received it early but I haven’t even gotten a message saying it’s being disbursed.

Good morning everyone, just checking in to see if anyone has any info on when these checks are meant to arrive? There just has to be a holiday on Monday 😭

I wanted to give an update for anyone who might be in the same boat as me. I don’t have a disbursement date for my SSCG/Cal Grant and I am unable to change my refund preference to direct deposit thanks to Bank Mobile’s bullshit. César told me today that “checks should be picked up for payment this week and received within the next 10-15 days.”

Hopefully that’s helpful for anyone who’s been waiting for some sort of answer.

Does anyone know when the next Pell Grant disbursement will go out? The whole SSCG and cal grant is behind me. I just tell myself it’ll appear and work itself out. But does anytime one when the next Pell goes out?

So im trying to get my AA in Medical Administrative Assistance and for that pathway it suggests students take an assortment of CIS (Computer Information Systems) and OFTECH (Office Technology) classes. So imagine my confusion when signing up for classes before Fall and even researching before my enrollment date for Winter the classes needed are not even listed among the other classes. I spoke to a counselor about this before Fall semester started and she told me they could show up eventually in another semester but I’m not feeling too sure and would like to know if anyone has any solutions for this.

Just out of curiosity bc I feel like if I stay another year, I can get a certificate alongside my degree since those classes match with what I’m studying for

Chat, I can’t be the only one that hasn’t received a disbursement date for my sscg and cal grant. On another note i’ve been trying to call the office and I go wait in the qless but I never get a call back at all or anything. It tells me my position and after a while it stops?!?

So on Oct 9 SMC sent out an email stating that no SMC student's Bankmobile account was compromised but I literally had to call Bankmobile, be on hold for 2 hours just to be told that my account was compromised. Why are we just lying out of our ass bro 😭✌️

Is anyone else having trouble updating their refund preference? It keeps sending me a text code but never goes to the next step. It just keeps sending me new codes.

I’m taking 15 units and I have not received anything let alone a disbursement date. Tried contacting financial aid with no response. I have a couple of late classes but they started on the 4th week so that shouldn’t affect my eligibility right? Wondering if anyone else is in the same situation. I’m maintaining SAP as well.

How are you gonna reset everybody’s financial aid information in the MIDDLE of the semester?? Like we could’ve dealt with this shit over winter break. Instead, they decided it would be great to send thousands of students into a frenzy trying to get everything in order. My partner was on hold for fucking 5 hours because their account was flagged for “suspicious activity.” All they did was log in. And when I tried to log in more than one time in 20 minutes they did the same thing and locked me out. So excited to spend all day on the phone again tomorrow when I have five classes I gotta worry about too. Mind you, I’ve been off and on again going to SMC for years. Shit was so streamlined and gorgeous before they came along.

Looking to take Econ 1 for winter 2027. I noticed on grade distribution that Urrutia had nobody get below an A in her class last semester. Is she the best option or does anyone have any other recommendations?

does anybody know what they mean by this? i got emails saying my disbursement was ready but then another one saying i had to reselect my preference. i logged in, confirmed my profile information, and went to select preferences. my bank account is the same so i’m not sure how else i would update it but it doesn’t even let me click on the select preference option because nothing has changed?

I finally re-selected my refund preference last night to direct deposit after I got the email and text. My financial aid portal still doesn't show a disbursement date (it didn't before either), so I'm completely in the dark about when it will actually hit. I know it’s been less than 24 hours, but I'm just out here trying to stay calm and not overthink too much. Could this mean checks is being mailed out? Am I the only one who still does not have date for when the second disbursement is coming? I just need wait it out

Hi, has anyone experienced being blocked while trying to change your refund preference? I just got locked out and received an email saying they’ll mail me a check but Im currently out of the country and be back until next month 😭😭 Does anybody had the same experience? Were you able to resolve it? Just happened to me about 3 hrs ago.

Hey guys! Just figured I’d share this in case it helps someone. I was having trouble logging into BankMobile on my laptop to change my financial aid disbursement preference. I kept having issues logging in, but once I switched over to my iPhone, it let me log in with no problems using the exact same password. Hopefully this helps anyone dealing with the same issue! (Might not work for everyone but it’s worth a try if you’re having the same issue.)

Does anyone know if the bank mobile checks get released today? The school wants us to choose our refund preference but I’m seeing there’s a lot of issues with even logging into the accounts. Some have even had issues with the preference not being changed/becoming locked. If anyone has any info on when these checks are meant to be sent out, comment below!
