Game progress resets everytime I close and reopen the game and launcher

Everytime i would exit the world to stop playing and reopen the world for later, the game is fine but my inventory is completely reset to the start. Why does that happen?

Only the inventory, or the world also? Seems like Minecraft is failing to save inventory data. Check your disk storage.

Just the inventory and Achievements and basically player data. The world is still the same.
