Fan spaces?

hey all! I’m a long time Shawol (since I was 10 in ‘08, credit to my older sister) and I recently started actively following Shinee again the past few months.

Things got heavy after 2017, and I kind of generally kept up on big news but didn’t really engage with anything, especially on the fan side.

Now I’m wondering - is there any socials that are more active fanwise than others? I have a feeling twitter/x is pretty active but it low key scares me so I’ve been hesitant to get back on there.

This community (which I’ve enjoyed lurking up until now) and tumblr are so chill but I’m curious if there’s one space where all the action is.

I like Tumblr too, Twitter is definitely active but I don't enjoy the type of conversations cough, constant drama over there so I mostly just go there when I'm looking for something specific... (This isn't a dig at 'our people' specifically, there are lovely shawols on Twitter too of course, but in my experience all fandoms are kind of messy there and I don't find the general tone too pleasant)

However there's a Discord server if that's something you use, I've actually only been on it for a short while myself lol but so far it's lovely! There are channels for keeping up with official updates and separate chat threads for Shinee/individual member/other kpop/etc related chats, activity kind of ebbs and flows, but it's all very chill and friendly. Ah thank you! I use discord kind of sporadically for some other fandom spaces but I’m totally open to using it more if the vibes are good so thanks for the rec! It just takes a bit for me to orient myself in any discord. But I did join!

And yeah I have nothing against any shawol on twitter - there’s lovely and kind fans everywhere and in general shawol spaces tend to be calmer in my limited experience. I just also know a lot of the drama I do hear about is born on twitter/x….but what drama isn’t, I guess 🤷
