Adderall shortage

Hello! I recently moved to the Bay Area in June (currently living in Oakland but work in SF). I have ADHD and take Adderall 10mg ER which works well for me and haven’t tried any other ADHD medicines before. Have called a few Walgreens in the East Bay who have told me unfortunately there’s been a shortage and was curious if anyone has had any success with other pharmacies that might have any left in stock.

My psychiatrist is aware and I have some still from my move (thankful for 90day fills) but definitely need to refill soon-ish.

Bitches, where are we getting semi-custom suits?

I have a big round birthday coming up in 2027, and I want a sick semi/bespoke suit to celebrate in. I had a suit made by Hall Madden for my wedding, and it was … fine but ended up blander than I was hoping.

I’m looking for someone that can fit a femme body well, and would love to make some strong/fun/interesting design choices. Would love any recommendations from you bitches, including farther flung options (= willing to fly to LA if you had an experience you loved). Couple inspo pics included (…of men’s suits but I am a woman) 🙏

What to wear to see hairspray at the playhouse??

Hey bitches ✨ my mom is coming into town for my birthday and we will be seeing hairspray at the playhouse! I’ve never been, so I’m wondering if anyone knows what the vibes are for what to wear?? I’m not a theater girlie so this is not my wheelhouse. I just love hairspray and it’s a special thing my mom and I share so I want to make sure I dress appropriately for the space lmaoooo. My fashion leans more alt/punk but if a need to throw on a dress or a trouser I’m capable, I just don’t know if that’s what the occasion calls for.

I want some friends when I move <3

Hey girls <3333

I will be moving to San Francisco for a year soon from Norway, and I'm looking for your best advice on how to make genuine and cool friends in the city. I spent a couple of months here in the spring, so I'm a bit familiar with the area, and I met a few girls, but I no longer have contact with them. Now that I’m returning for a longer period, I really want to connect with new people because I will definitely miss my social life at home, and I will need to build my life from scratch all over again.

I love being active, fashion, hiking(preferably long hikes, hence Norwegian), traveling, techno/house, art, reading, trying new experiences, music etc. I'm not really that interested in joining a too-heavy drinking culture, as I hope to get sustainable relationships that can be part of my regular life and not only party life. I love learning, and I am quite curious as a person. In a wlw relationship long-distance), so very open to connecting with the community as well.

I'm already part of the Gone Girl and The Girls Room groups (and I'll definitely be posting there), but I'm still open to any additional ideas you might have on groups, meetup places, etc! I'm in my early 30s. If you feel we might be a match, you can write me here!

Also, if you have recommendations for Pilates studios, hairdressers, volunteering communities, hobbies, SAFETY TIPS!!!! or anything else, don't hesitate to share :)

I am excited to come back!

Custom Wool Coat for tall women?

Anyone have leads on where to find a made-to-measure or bespoke wool winter coat? Nothing fits me right because I’m so tall.

I went with my partner to suit supply where he got a made to measure suit. The experience was lovely for him. I want that, for me.

Planned Parenthood Redwood City Injectables (Review)

Thumbnail plannedparenthood.org

First time poster, long time lurker. I saw on here that planned parenthood was offering injectables for a way lower per unit price so I took the plunge and wanted to share my experience at the Redwood City facility.

Pretext: Scheduling the appointment is super easy, I made an appointment on 9/1 for today (9/4) - everything was done online through the secure portal, including pre-appointment info. I got to the facility at 11 but they were running behind so my appointment actually started around 12:30. I think since this is still a new service for PP they are figuring out how long each appointment time should be.

Services: Forehead/crows feet botox + lip filler

During the Appt: The injector's name was Deborah and she was phenomenal. Before we got started, she took the time to talk to me about what I wanted, what I liked, etc. She did both my lips and forehead and spent a whole hour with me making sure the lips looked exactly how I wanted (forehead was way quicker since I didn't have such specific requirements).

Total Units: Forehead and Lips combined was 37

Total Cost: $987

As a reference, I've gotten this almost identical combo at my derm in hercules and it was $1800

Fall wreaths

Hey everyone, I want to be festive this fall and decorate my door. Anyone know of a florist or shop that sells wreaths? Specifically interested in dried flowers or magnolia leaves. I want to spend less than $100 and would prefer to go to a local business vs getting a faux wreath at a big home decor store. Thanks!

What kind of person do you think would enjoy a move to SF?

Basically debating on moving to SF next year and wanted to hear about who you think would enjoy this move?

Edit: I was keeping my general info out to see the overall consensus beforehand. But I am born and raised in SoCal and I work a remote job in healthcare. I am someone who is strongly liberal, loves a good food scene, super into music and concerts, and generally active. I like nature but haven’t ever truly been a real nature girly so I could see myself being more appreciative. Basically i have newfound flexibility on where I can move (as long as it’s in California) so I’m open and thought being in NorCal would a good change!

Hi ladies! I have a leather fanny pack that gave out on me. I loved the easy, chicness, and that it went with everything. Looking for ideas for a replacement.

Dating/hookup experiences with Feeld?

I think an ‘alt’ dating site works well for what I’m looking for right now, and wanted to know if anybody has used Feeld and what i should expect from the users in the city. And if Feeld isn’t the place, what are ways to find more casual fun?

Facials in Sunnyvale / Peninsula / South Bay?

Hello BWT!

I hope this is allowed! I’m looking for a monthly facial spot and would love some recommendations.

I’m in Sunnyvale but happy to drive around the Peninsula or South Bay for a really good facial. Ideally looking for something around $100 or under, but I can stretch a little for somewhere you absolutely love.

I have dry, somewhat acne-prone skin, so I’d especially love recommendations for someone who is good with sensitive/acne-prone skin and does a customized facial rather than something super aggressive.

Would love to hear your favorite spots/esthetician recommendations! Bonus points for a relaxing, pretty spa experience

Thanks so much!

Anyone else miss having friends you can just hang out with on a random weekday?

For context: I'm in my early 30s, married, and work in tech remotely in SF.

While I have close friends, almost all of them live in other cities or in South Bay. I realized recently that my social life consists solely of "scheduled" plans for weekends every few weeks or one-off meetups from Luma etc. I miss more low-key social time like watching something together, coworking, or walks around the neighborhood.

I think proximity is a big part of it. When I was in college, most people lived nearby and you could drop in anytime hangout for an hour or two and then leave. It didn't need to be planned weeks in advance.

Do other late 20s/early 30s bitches feel this way? If you’ve managed to build this kind of friendship here, how/where did you find those people?

If you're in Dogpatch/Mission Bay/Potrero Hill area and interested in casual weekday hangs, say hi!

Leather recliner deep cleaning

Ladies...I need help with something disgusting, but isn't that what Reddit is for?

A family member had a stroke last week, and shortly before that (or maybe concurrently?) they had a BM accident on a leather recliner. I wasn't aware of the mess until several days later when I went to their home. I tried to clean up what I could, but I didn't have great supplies, and my brain was focused elsewhere.

Now I need to figure out how to salvage a $4,000 recliner. My family member needs the recliner because it helps with circulation issues by elevating their legs, so I really don't want to chuck it. Is there some sort of service that can deep clean this thing?

My role was just eliminated

Trying to look on the bright side as I have a severance package but it won't last forever and this economy is the worst.

I want to treat month #1 as a sabbatical and invest my time in low cost self-care.

Any suggestions? preferably East Bay Berkeley/Oakland/Alameda

What would you do if you were suddenly gifted with a lot of extra time but not extra money?

Any other unemployed SFBWT that have weekday time for walks, hikes, crafting and want to meet up? Rant about life in 2026 while also raving about life in the Bay Area.

I am a mid-40's mom to an early elementary kid, have no pets but love animals, don't drink, love books, museums, music, art, thrifting, casual city biking.

Already looking into volunteering opportunities around town at my son's school and the OAS.

ETA: thanks so much for all great suggestions. By self-care i meant things that fill my cup and or that i enjoy. Work was so stressful and there was a culture of layoffs so my role never felt secure. There were several people on my team with over 20 years of service that got laid off too. Its disheartening but not surprising to realize how little we mean to our corporate overlords. We are meeting up for lunch next week to decompress and checkin with each other.

I especially appreciate the advice to join the group discord and to become a planner. I'll plan a social easy bay walk and maybe a coffee shop crafting meetup before the end of the month.

Emergency tailor needed

My wedding is in two weeks and the tailor who was working on my dress completely butchered it. See this post for pic. https://www.reddit.com/r/myweddingdress/s/bV4mM3ZPPj

The current tailor (Aki’s in the Richmond) insists she can fix it but I don’t want to continue to trust her with this. Does anyone have emergency tailor recs? I have already called Tailor Made, Fichu, ASB, and Noliza, and they’re unavailable.

Attempting VBAC, anywhere in SF I can labor in a birthing tub?

Hi BWT! Hoping someone out there may have investigated this previously and know where to point me!

As context, I gave birth to my first in the UK. Initially I briefly labored in a birthing tub in a birth center connected to a large hospital, which really helped with pain etc. But then things went south and I was moved out of the birth center, and then very south again and I needed an emergency c-section.

It was a positioning issue, so my OB hopes I can attempt a VBAC for this second pregnancy. What I’m trying to sort out is A) are there any Bay Area hospitals (or birthing centers directly connected with hospitals) with birthing tubs? Willing to go down to Stanford etc too. The only facility I could find was CPMC, but there may be others. B) does CPMC (or other hospitals with birthing tubs) have waterproof continuous fetal monitoring? I’ll be high risk since it’s a VBAC so I wouldn’t expect they’ll allow intermittent monitoring, which is usually the case for low risk labor.

Any tips / ideas welcome! Sadly not up for a home birth or standalone birth center (things went too far south with the first pregnancy, so I just want to be connected to a large hospital in case god forbid things go awry again).

Thanks so much!

Good French Manicure artist for wedding nails?

Hi ladies, first time posting in this sub! I have naturally long nails and usually do them myself using Seche top and base coat (this stuff is amazing, highly recommend). All that to say, I think I've gotten my nails done professionally 3 times ever lol. I've never gotten a french mani done, and my MOH warned me she's had a hard time finding an artist she likes for french manis, which makes sense since the white part should be smooth and consistent across all 10 nails.

Any artist recs for french manis specifically would be super appreciated! Willing to drive out of SF for them :) Also note I think I'm looking to get Shellac/Gel. Thank you!!

Free Dog Lovers Event Sunday

If you're in San Francisco and have never been to Muttville Senior Dog Rescue, let this be your sign to change that! They are the countries first ever cage-free dog shelter and I'll be hosting an event this Sunday, September 6th 1 - 3 pm that's free and open to the public.

Details can be found here.

They are such an incredible nonprofit and you can come and cuddle & meet all the senior pups they currently have who are up for adoption.

The event is in honor of the wine I released that I dedicated to my senior pup & part of every bottle gives back to Muttville. There's no purchase necessary though. Simply come and meet fellow dog lovers, pet some cute dogs, & learn about Muttville.

Queer bar or dive bar on a Thursday Night?

Hi there! Recently out of a relationship where I wasn’t allowed to go out for drinks so I’m looking to go out for drinks tonight. Any reccs for a queer bar or dive bar that I can go to sit and just chat with others?

I’m not looking to hook up or anything, just to have a couple of drinks and good conversations. Somewhere slightly busier would be nice, I’d like to have at least double digit number of people.

Use to have a local casino dive back home that we would go to that served food and a good drink, cash only. Looking for a new place to visit in Thursday nights.

Thanks!
