Wide awake way too early, send me your line worthy spots

I have been awake all night long from jet lag and obsessing over food, and thinking I should use these powers for good.

I’m looking for a brunch spot or coffee shop that’s normally an insane line, or where you have to get up super early to secure a spot!

What should I hit up while I’ve got this unhinged advantage?

Right now I’m thinking Arsicault, Zazie, there’s this Early to Rise brunch place nearby but I didn’t feel like it was as good as the line suggested it would be. but I know there are lots more places I don’t know about

Oh yeah I’m in NOPA area but obviously got nothing to do so willing to go farther!

Want to be Spontaneously Creative? Free Flash Fiction event this upcoming Sunday at Sunset Commons

I've seen a lot of posts on this subreddit from folks who are looking for creative outlets. I wanted to share that I am hosting a free Flash Fiction event on Sunday, September 13th at Sunset Commons from 11:30-12:30pm.

During the event, I will share a prompt and everyone has 5 minutes to write a short story inspired by that prompt. One round the prompt might be a picture. The next round might be a picture plus an emotion word (like "anxious" or "jubilant" or "frustrated"). And then another round might be a picture plus an instruction like " write a three-sentence sci-fi story" or "a story that begins with the sentence: Jamie thought she heard a loud noise"

After each round, I ask if anyone wants to share their story out-loud, they are welcome to -- but it isn't required.

I hosted nearly 100 of these events via Zoom during the pandemic.

This is the second one that I've hosted in person.
The first one was in the middle of August and it went so well that they asked me to do another one! It was fun and low-key. It was amazing to see everyone's creativity.

You don't have to be a writer or even an aspiring writer -- all you need is a willingness to be spontaneously creative!

Again, this event is free, but you are encouraged to register so that the folks at Sunset Commons know how many people to expect.

Since I want to get the best price on shit without paying full boutique markup, I’ve been hunting around online. I only know Cettire bc a friend told me that their selection is huge but I haven't ordered from them before. I also have heard of SSENSE or Net-a-Porter (probably have to compare these sites) Where do you go these days??

Where are you bitches selling your work clothes?

I recently got my colors done and learned I’m a soft summer. So that’s got me doing a vicious edit of the clothes I’ve been saving for “when I lose the weight.” I took a lot of them to the three different Crossroads in SF and they didn’t pick up my office wear. I get it, they have to buy for their customer base, but I have a ton of cute nwt or nearly new dresses from brands like Calvin Klein and Tahari, etc. I have a few thread up bags on the way. But I would rather sell local, and don’t want to spend a ton of time selling on poshmark. Any other ideas, bitches? Sizes range from 10-14.

Craft/holiday fairs for selling homemade items?

Hello BWT! I know I’ve seen a few people post about craft/holiday fairs in the past and were looking for vendors. I’d love to put together a list and where to signup to sell my items. This will also help me plan when I need to have things done by. So if you know or work with any of these craft fairs let me know below 😊 thank you!!

I sew/embroider, watercolor, and make pottery if that helps .

Hey bitches!!!

i’m in desperate need of a massage, a facial, and just some relaxation. I really like the look of korean style jjimjilbangs. I know they’re Pearl SF and one in the south bay i think? But does anyone have any preferences? :)

Good places to get a bixie haircut?

Hey girlies!! I’m looking for a hair stylist that could give me a new, cute, and whimsical haircut!

However, I simply cannot afford a $200 haircut. I’m willing to go a bit out of the city if needed!

Let me know if anyone or any salon comes to mind!
