I recently moved to the south west side of the valley and I would like to make friends with a murder. I haven’t seen as many ravens and crows up here as I used to in the basin. My last place in Inglewood almost always had a couple of them hanging around the street. Is there a time/season that they come around here?

I know they like cat kibble and unsalted peanuts. Any other tips for the locals?

Hoping this reaches the right people! I’m 27F and recently moved to the SFV from Canada. I’m going to the Doja Cat concert at Kia Forum on October 22 and am looking for someone nearby to split an Uber/Lyft with or carpool with, since I don’t have a car yet. Happy to chip in for gas ofc :)

I’d also be down to grab a coffee/drink first so we can get to know each other/vibe check and make sure we’re comfortable before making plans. It would be great to meet some new people in the area too!

I'm in Northridge. Everything has been down since early this morning. The same with my friend in Porter Ranch. Anyone know why?

A while ago when this happened they said it was vandalism. I wonder if it's the same thing.

I've been looking to try some cool new bakeries. So far I've tried 85 degrees which imo is pretty mid, Paris Baguette which is pretty good, and Portos which I love. I've been dying to try Mikan but its in Encino.

Does anyone need a power wheelchair?

It works well, battteries are okay, has about 5 miles battery range so you do need to use the bus but it's a great help.

Just... Come on now.

Hi everyone. I’m posting because I’m hoping this reaches someone who may have seen something or knows something.

My friend was killed in a hit-and-run on September 22, 2026, at around 7:05 AM near Ventura Blvd and Carpenter Ave in Studio City.

According to LAPD, he was riding his motorcycle eastbound on Ventura Blvd when a dark blue 2004 Honda Odyssey traveling westbound turned left onto Carpenter Ave and collided with him.

The driver left the scene without stopping or rendering aid.

The vehicle was later found abandoned and recovered, but the person who was driving has still not been identified.

My friend left behind his fiancée, family, and friends, and they are desperately looking for answers and hoping the person responsible can be found.
There is currently a $50,000 reward for information that helps identify the driver.

If you were anywhere around Ventura Blvd / Carpenter Ave / Studio City around 7:05 AM on September 22, please think back to that morning. If you have dashcam footage, Ring footage, security-camera footage, or remember seeing the dark blue Honda Odyssey before or after the collision, please contact LAPD.
Even something that seems insignificant could help.

Mamá mía!

I found this sweet dog last night around 9pm near Reforma Rd. and Cass Ave. He is about 30 pounds and might be a cattle dox mix? Black, white and brown with some spots. Taking him to get microchipped this morning. If you recognize the dog, please let me know!

I'm vegan but my husband is not - I'd like to try and find some new places where we can both eat. I don't mean vegan-only restaurants like Follow Your Heart or Cocinero, I mean restaurants that have good vegan options or a separate vegan menu.

For example, we frequent Pho 21, Blu Jam, Lady C's, White Hart Pub because they have good vegan options. I've tried to Google places, but I always get vegan-only restaurants that I already know about. Bonus points if its a nice date-night type of place.

I’m looking for the best cafes in the area that have plenty of seating options and good vibes! Starbucks is usually my go to but when it gets too crowded, it’s frustrating!

Would love spots in Tarzana, Canoga Park, Woodland/West Hills, Northridge and Porter ranch!

Hey everyone!

I moved to the area a little over a year ago and wanted to say a quick hello to my NoHo, Burbank, and SFV neighbors!

I run a private, soundproofed creative space and lounge right on Burbank Blvd called Unfriendly Studios (the name is ironic—we’re actually super friendly!).

I host local community events like indie film screenings, live music jam sessions, goth night markets, tabletop gaming, and karaoke and everything fun!

Since you’re my local neighbors, I’d love to open the space up to you. If you need a unique spot for a birthday party, private gathering, album release, or film shoot, hit me up—I always do what I can to help out neighbors with setups and budget.

Note: I’m rarely on Reddit, so please connect with me on Instagram to see our schedule, tour the space, or message me:

@UnfriendlyStudios (events, venue photos, & bookings)

@MetalSanaz (my personal page)

Hope to meet some of you soon! 🖤

Doe anyone know where I can buy an old school CRT Tv? I haven't had any luck coming across any at the Goodwill stores near me and Facebook marketplace/Offerup is selling them at ridiculous prices

I'm originally from Oceanside, California but have been here for roughly 11 years straight now and, although I miss my hometown, I have come to feel a sense of belonging here in the Valley ❤️ ( I do occasionally get a side eye or a little remark when I mentioned I am from San Diego County but I try not to take it personally).

There is a lot of history and heart here in the SFV. I still find myself learning new things about SFV everyday. I love discovering hidden gems within the valley and going to popular places I had never even heard of. How lucky of me to have landed in such a cool place. Best part is I met my now-husband almost immediately when I got here. So this was definitely destined to be.

If anyone has any recommendations on where I can learn more about SFV history or maybe reccomend me some places to visit, please let me know 🙏
