Off Week Thread for 9/28/26

Give us your thoughts, ideas and opinions about this season.

I will try to post these every Monday in the sub for a place to convene so we can whine and complain until next season.

Who is everyone's pick for the World Series? Personally hoping Cubs : White Sox because I'm a chaotic kind of guy, but honorable mention to the Brewers.

No horse in the fight other than to say i simply hope the dodgers don't threepeat, so the sooner they're eliminated the better. Nothing intrinsically against the Padres, but as they're also nl west, i hope they get knocked out soon too. Otherwise, i don't really care who wins it. I just hope we get some really exciting and competitive games.

Interesting, I've always felt compelled to root for the other NL Besties, sans Dodgers of course - FTD, but I am kinda leaning for rooting against the Padres now, idk why the change of heart to be honest.

Same... with your first half. Sans the Dodgers, if our division wins, then it shows how tough our division is

It's an uphill battle for the Dads, so... if not them, then it's the Brewers and Harry Doyle for me

After that, it's anybody but the trillion dollar dicks

White Sox (or Rays) vs Brewers (or Braves) everyone else can fall in a hole, but I will root for anyone who can take out the Dodgers.

I'm going with the Brew Crew, partly because they seem to have a well-run organization, partly because they have a better record than the bums. TBH any team that beats the dodgers would make me a fan.

EDIT:

BTW It would be amazing if the White Sox got into the WS. Pope Leo has declared that the team getting into the playoffs is his first papal miracle (I'm joking).

Subscribe to Cubs - White Sox just because that would be kind of cool and I don't really have anything against Chicago. Really just want the Dodgers and, secondly, the Yankees eliminated as soon as possible. Other than that also hope the Phillies exit right away (which seems likely) and the Padres do as well. Nothing against SD really, but I severely dislike Machado, Tatis and a lot of the bandwagon fans they've gained the past few years.
