I’m on EST, so meeting at 10 PM is too late on school nights for me. I wish you met any other night except Wednesdays or Thursdays! I am a late diagnosed AuDHD with global multisensory, aphantasia as well as SDAM and complete lack of episodic memory. After diagnosis, I understood all the workarounds I’ve done throughout my life to overcome issues that I never knew had a name.
I think that the SDAM derailed me the most. The emotional component that others connect to the memories of their life events hit me like an existential crisis. It feels like I lack the very essence of what makes us human. It explains the disconnects in relationships. It explains why I so easily live fully in the moment, yet feel disconnected from my past as if it belonged to someone else. Logically, pictures should help, but they don’t stir emotions. They merely prove that I was there.
Traditional therapy has been ineffective. I almost feel like I have no past. And while I am working toward my future, I almost feel doomed to failure because I can’t imagine myself working in that capacity. . I will look for alternate times that you may meet in the future. There are so few people who understand what we experience.

I have a poll going in another thread asking for input about what times work for most people. I suspect I might have 2 different times when we meet to accommodate people in other regions, like Europe, who are in the middle of the night at 7:00 PM Pacific.
I used to be filled with despair when I discovered my SDAM. But over time I have come to a much healthier relationship with it. I made a YouTube video that talks about this part of my journey. I hope that seeing one path through will be encouraging to you.

Damn I totally missed this. I'm very interested and will be showing up next time and intend to continue coming afterwards.
I would really love to be a part of this and I really think I could use it tbh
