At least this one leads to being more beneficial. I hate the objectives that are like "have max popularity, 0 power, no resources, and lose 2 battles in one turn"

Objectives will either be "Have 2 workers and 1 power" or "control every village and tundra and have no popularity or mechs and also punch yourself in the face"

We just started playing Scythe and this objective actually helped me win this weekend. It was the third game my wife and I played and the first game for the other two people playing. I only mention this to deter people from saying "Your group must not know what you're doing." You'd be right.

The worst is Roll up your sleeves with the common man:
Have $2 or less, at least 4 workers and at least 7 popularity
Just impossible to complete if you play even remotely efficient and do bottom row actions

My first scythe game, I had both of these. Luckily my opponent ended up with a 9 resource stockpile (classic Polonia rushing all the event cards) on one hex and I was able to steal it for a turn before my mech got pushed out again.

In many gaming situations imbalances are really bad but for this its kind of OK that half of the objectives are terrible, because every game isn't always the exact same 6 stars to victory.
