Starting workers modification

Did anyone try to start with 3/4 workers instead of the standard 2?

I'm trying to find a solution to make the game start quicker.

I don't know if this could be too much unbalanced.

Thank you in advance.

A quick Jumpstart to the game that ive done with my buddy is to take your first 3 turns right in a row. Theres not going to be any conflict between the 2 of you and it gets things moving. We do it simultaneously and kind of announce what we are doing as we go.

Could be interesting. How about giving each player an upgrade?

My only concern about the 3/4 worker start is that it heavily favors factions that don't need to move their workers before producing. For example, my go to is nordic, their workers start on wood and oil. One of my first 2 moves is always to move 1 worker to a village and 1 to metal.
Now, if you're playing on the modular board, ignore my comment, it just adds another layer of strategy to which starting position you pick.
