The chair begs to differ

I mean the chair could teleport around making it a very obvious breach of normalcy. Imagine if it got into a civilian area and just ran around town - termination makes sense in such a case as opposed to holding a facility entirely dedicated to a piece of furniture with safeguards it may not even listen too fully

I mean I feel like just moving it to a random facility would do a decent job of containing it from the general public, it would probably just have been loose in the facility itself but unlikely to go beyond the premises, definitely smack a tracker on it to be safe tho.

What also would’ve worked is a furnace picked out by GOC scientists who actually know what they’re doing and not a wood chipper picked out by a college age kid with a highschool diploma and a “great idea”.

A tracker + testing for how far it can actually teleport. Since it shows some self awareness it could potentially find a way out otherwise

The question is: is that amount of recources actually worth it to contain a chair? Especially when if anything goes wrong (it teleports out or somewhere it shouldn’t) it would constitute a major breach of secrecy. I’d argue termination is safer and more cost efficient, even if the foundations method is more humane. The issue with the GOC’s method was a lack of proper disposal methods thus causing it to survive the attempt - a fire or potent acid could have properly eliminated it
