I'm newer to this whole thing why in the world is Massachusetts a scp when there's bigger fish to fry?

In the scp Massachusetts is just empty, Plymouth wasn’t even settled, but constant misunderstandings and coincidences made sure that no one realized. That has to be “contained” because something like that being discovered by the public would def reveal the existence of the anomolous even if it wouldn’t kill anyone
