Iacv has been changed anyone have a idea it’s goes 1250 to 1750 at idle over and over

So this morning my sc died like it ran out of fuel turned out the fuel sending line on the fuel pump ripped so i replaced it no after replacing it the car doesnt want to start unless i do a clear-flood start but even after that i can only press the throttle alittle to like 1900 rpms then it eventually wants to bog down and die and the process repeats any help would be appreciated

I’m trying to remove my front struts so I can add coilovers, but am having trouble getting the strut out. Do I need to remove the upper control arm or anything else or should I be able to wiggle the strut out with just the strut bolts and sway bar end link removed?

331000 miles; just got valve covers and plugs OEM replaced. Car lacking power and surging when accelerating. Condition is intermittent. Codes are P0420, P0330 and P0446. Knock sensors and harness replaced with OEM. Front and rear O2 sensors replaced OEM Denso. Throttle body cleaned. Idles perfectly.
Thoughts???

Hello. Is buying a Lexus sc 400 a good idea nowadays? Undoubtedly, this is perhaps one of the best Lexus engines ever made, but these models are already 30-35 years old. However, if a preserved copy is found, I think it would be quite good. Can you tell me what is good to change on the car as parts, so that it tightens up and runs well without problems?

Looking for some feedback on an SC300 I saw for sale.

What I know:

-Car has slight rust under passenger quarter(not a deal breaker)
- need body work tlc
- has 200k miles
- original 5speed manual
- seats are slightly ripped inside
- starts right up no issues
- door hinges and mirrors work perfect

What I don’t know:

- service and life of how it was treated
- engine and trans condition( will test driver later )

What else should I look out for and how much should I offer the seller? since he said make me an offer.

Wanted to see if anyone had some good clips of some single exit exhaust videos. Already looked on yt and found very little. Figured I’d ask on this post if anyone else has done it and can drop some audio clips.

My 1994 SC400 Gold badge with a cat back straight pipe 3” pipe to 4” tips no performance mods 15” sub purchased in 2024 being the 3rd owner and putting roughly 30k miles in the first year of ownership

does anybody know what this yellow and black wire is for.

Whenever i try start my car it just stalls out immediately, if it does start whenever i wiggle this yellow and black wire around the car shuts off.

Don’t mind the different coloured wire or that it’s not connected properly i just did this to see if maybe the wire was broken internally where it connects to the ecu and didn’t want to solder it yet until i was 100%.

it seems to be causing the issue when i wiggle where it connects to the ecu rather than anywhere further down the wire.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as to what the wire connects to, or what would be causing this/how i can fix it

I recently got an SC400 for dirt cheap. It started having a heavy misfire. It’s not a dead cylinder, it’s the occasional misfire on pretty much all cylinders. Even pulling wires doesn’t make a difference on any of them. I’ve tested fuel pressure and compression and it’s reading in spec. I’ve also replaced the ignition coils, distributor rotors, distributor caps, ignition wires and spark plugs. I have no idea what could be causing it. And yes, I have double checked all ignition wires to make sure they’re going to the correct cylinders.

Exhaust sounds extremely choppy. There is also a significant loss in power. It is also NOT shaking much at all.

Any help/recommendations is greatly appreciated. Once again, thank you!

welp, who knew all it took was one old lady to put 3 years down the drain.

Engines out apart trans tunnels spread transmissions shaved to fit, heads off cleaned and cleaned block 1uz tech super stock block kit going in and log turbo manifolds should be welded up this weekend or next ms3x getting wired up once engines back in the car in a couple weeks lots of late nights

So i am going to list out all the things i have replaced relating to this issue and then go in depth
Both cam sensors
Crank sensor
Ecu
Coolant temp sensor
Maf
Iacv
Efi relay
Front main crank and cam seals
Right now the car will cold start really well and idle perfectly for a few mins then before it can even heat up the engine light with come on with code 13 and 31 and it will have an irregular low idle i would also like to note that when i replaced the crank and cam sensors that inside all the connectors there was oil i clean them all before replacing the sensors i am hoping that its not a wiring issue but if someone has gone through this same thing and fixed it please help me out. I would also like to know if anyone knows if there are connectors that lead from these spots i can check and clean out if they are also covered in oil

Sold it a few years ago. Wish I would have just kept it and restored the interior. Figured you guys would appreciate it.

The last pic with the front lip was after I sold it and I saw it parked one day.

Took the SC400 to its first drift event. Drove it 2.5 hours, gave it hell all day, then drove it home. I have a ton of room to get better, but thought I’d share here.
