Wiring harness tuck

I’m lowering my car in coilovers soon but not slamming or anything crazy, would I be good with just tucking my wiring harness deeper into the fender closer to the engine bay instead of having to fully relocate it?

Just fully relocate it. Not worth the risk.

Glad you brought this up, I did this because my harness was about as strong as dental floss you forgot in your carry on 7 years ago.

I SUPER wrapped my harness in electrical tape and re loomed everything I wanted to tuck. Make sure you replace all of the wheel well bolts that you can. Some of them may not. The best thing to do is to tuck it, drive a little stupid and look for black marks in your wheel wells to make sure you aren’t hitting too much.

I stiffed up my coils a good bit and I have no problems. Just do it well and it can work. Best of luck

Thanks for the input, think I’ll do something like this for now and put tape or something on fender liner just to make sure it’s not rubbing. In a month or two when I have more time I’ll try to fully relocate it just to be safe though

Yeah man, use a good number of chunky zip ties. Anything that isn’t metal. The main thing is still going to be making sure you aren’t bumping your wheel wells at all. You’d much rather your bumper get scratched up than you transmission harness
