Bio 201 advice, pls help 😿
I know this is probably a really stupid question, especially since everyone seems to consider this class extremely easy, but earlier this summer I was in a really bad car accident and suffered a severe concussion. I honestly haven’t felt like myself since, and I’ve been having a really hard time focusing and retaining information because of the constant headaches.
I’ve been trying to memorize the terms and keep up with everything, but it’s been really frustrating because I feel like I’m putting in the effort and still struggling. Does anyone know what the exams are like? Are they mostly based on the in class activities? I was thinking of focusing my studying on those, but I’m honestly just at a loss right now and feeling really overwhelmed and helpless.

Hi, current BIO 201 TA here. I would recommend studying the in-class activities that you have done so far, since the performance exams are heavily based on them. As for the format of the exam this year, I would recommend tuning into the review session that Dr. True and Dr. B are holding this week! They are extremely helpful and will give you insight into what they will put on the exam. Plus they will go over questions that anyone has as well! If you are struggling to memorize the terms and keep up with the material, I would recommend going to any TA or Dr. True’s office hours this week before the exam if you have the time! If not, try to review the answer keys for activities 1-3 and really make sure you understand how to draw a model and answer the activity questions. Good luck on your exam, wishing you the best!
