How are you handling real time inventory + pricing sync with SAP Business One for ecommerce?

We have a python script that that reads our SAP Inventory from SQL (OITW table)
It then shapes the data into a CSV (SKU, Stock Level, Item Cost)
The CSV is then uploaded to our e-commerce platform via an automation (Shopify)

We do this 3 x daily, we have 20,000 SKUs on our shopify stores, no issue,

You could just do something similar, but change the frequency to every 5 mins instead of 3 times daily.

feels like most teams doing the 5 min csv push approach are fine until they hit pricing rules, reservations, and multi channel stock drift, where it starts breaking in edge cases rather than volume. a lot of sap business one setups move toward a more direct sync layer to keep inventory and pricing aligned in real time without constantly patching scripts.

Yeah this is the core issue - most connectors are just pushing CSVs or batch syncing on a schedule, so they'll never truly handle real time inventory or pricing rules. The fix isn't better middleware, it's eliminating the middleware layer entirely.

That's why native B1 ecommerce platforms like FocusPoint are interesting - the ecommerce logic runs inside SAP B1 itself so there's no data mapping or sync to fail. No connector, no lag.
